TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DOMAIN RESTRICTIONS

  • Affiliates are asked not to register domains which are similar or misspellings of Professional Building Supplies' brand or any of the PBSL Group brands. Any activity of this kind on the campaign will result in commissions being declined.
  • Affiliates may not put the Professional Building Supplies website or any of the PBSL Group websites into frames or use masked URLs.
  • Affiliates are asked not to register domains which are similar or misspellings of the Professional Building Supplies brand or any of the PBSL Group brands. Any activity of this kind on the campaign will result in commissions being declined.
  • Please do not register URL’s similar to www.professionalbuildingsupplies.co.uk or any of the PBSL Group brands without the merchant’s consent or use competitor names to send traffic to the merchant’s site.

PPC ACTIVITY

  • Professional Building Supplies does not currently allow affiliate PPC brand bidding, but reserves the right to change this policy in the future. Affiliates may not use any domain owned by Professional Building Supplies or PBSL Group for PPC linking without express written permission. This includes but is not limited to www.professionalbuildingsupplies.co.uk, and all the other PBSL Group domains.
  • Brand bidding, along with permutations, is not permitted on any search engine at this moment. Professional Building Supplies reserves the right to alter this policy at any time. Any publisher found to be bidding outside of these conditions will be removed from the programme and any unpaid commissions will be declined. We may occasionally allow affiliates to bid on brand names in PPC for a specified period of time. Any bidding on non-agreed terms, or agreed terms outside the agreed period will result in non-payment of commissions and potential removal from the programme.
  • Bidding on generic product related terms is allowed.
  • Affiliates are not permitted to register or bid on any Professional Building Supplies or PBSL Group trademarks or any other terms associated with this program on any and all search engine-like services. This also includes variations, misspellings and brand + generic terms associated with professionalbuildingsupplies.co.uk or any of the other PBSL Group brands.
  • Affiliates are also asked not to bid directly on competitions brand, including B&Q, Screwfix, Homebase, Wickes etc.
  • Affiliates should add as a negative keyword all brand terms and misspellings which include any reference to Professional Building Supplies or PBSL Group brands.
  • Please do not use "tm" or the word "official" in your advertisements.
  • It is also prohibited to use the brand name in the ad text. Please note sending traffic directly to the merchant’s site is allowed, as is using the merchant’s brand name in the display URL, but refrain from using the merchant’s brand name (Professional Building Supplies or any of the PBSL Group brands), variations, misspellings or derivates as a keyword or part of a keyphrase on any search engine and within the ad title and ad description.
  • The unauthorised use of professionalbuildingsupplies.co.uk’s URL across any bid is also prohibited. This includes but is not limited to any variations or misspellings related to the professionalbuildingsupplies.co.uk brand, as well as to any of the PBSL Group brands.
  • Affiliates wishing to promote Professional Building Supplies through search engine marketing via a landing page should first contact the account management team to discuss this. PPC affiliates applying to the Professional Building Supplies programme without first discussing their promotion may find that their application is declined.


VOUCHER CODE POLICY

  • Affiliates may only promote codes that are provided through the Professional Building Supplies affiliate programme, either through the interface or directly from Professional Building Supplies Affiliate Manager. Any promotional and incentive offers and codes not authorised through these means will result in non-payment of commission. Professional Building Supplies will be closely monitoring all voucher codes used in affiliate sales.
  • Professional Building Supplies reserves the right to withhold payment of commission if unauthorised voucher codes are used in an affiliate sale. We appreciate that consumers may use voucher codes that they have found via a site other than that which is awarded the sale. If the customer uses a voucher code that was not allocated to the affiliate channel during their purchase, then this this will be investigated before decisions on commission payment are made, and the sale may be declined. Any affiliate displaying an unauthorised voucher code on their site will have any sales generated via this voucher code declined and their commission set to zero until the code(s) are removed. Depending on the severity of the breach, affiliates may face immediate suspension from the programme.
  • We will occasionally run exclusive discount voucher codes with selected publishers. Commissions will not be approved where an unauthorized discount voucher code has been used. All generic codes will be communicated to affiliates via the usual channels so please do not copy codes from other publisher sites.
  • Voucher code terms and conditions must be clearly displayed onsite, any affiliate found promoting codes which do not have the clearly marked T&Cs available may have their commission set to zero until the T&Cs are visible.
  • Where voucher codes are issued with an expiry date this should be clearly displayed and codes should be removed or explicitly marked as expired after this date unless you are advised otherwise. Any affiliates displaying expired codes without marking them as being expired may be suspended from the programme.
  • All voucher codes used and cashback obtained cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

 

PRODUCT FEED

You can download the product feed via the Affiliate Window interface, this will be updated twice daily.


EMAIL MARKETING

Any e-mail marketing affiliates looking to promote Professional Building Supplies must get sign off for the copy they intend to use before the mail drop.


CASHBACK

  • For claims relating to Cashback, please include your original order number for us to process your claim.
  • Professional Building Supplies does not offer commission when purchasing a voucher.


DEDUPLICATION

Professional Building Supplies has made the decision to consistently reward sales based on a last click attribution model, de-duping against all other channels, based on basket of goods total (which excludes VAT and delivery charges). 


CANCELLED ORDERS

Any cancelled orders will result in non payment of commission. A cancelled order can constitute one of the following, fraudulent transaction or pre-dispatch cancellation.


TRANSACTIONS AND COMMISSIONS STRUCTURE

  • Commission: As an INTRODUCTORY offer, 5% commission is payable on the basket of goods value (which excludes VAT and delivery charges). Professional Building Supplies reserves the right to reject sales that are fraudulent or cancelled pre dispatch. Terms of cancellation are: order is cancelled pre dispatch, customer failed credit check, breach of T&Cs, duplicate order or fraudulent transaction. 
  • This commission is an introductory offer, and Professional Building Supplies reserves the right to amend this during the programme's lifetime.
  • Standard Commission Structure:
  • Cashback, Discount Code, Sub Networks, Virtual Incentive, Search (CSS): 5% commission is payable as standard.
  • UGC, Content, Editorial, Email Newsletter: 10% commission is payable as standard.
  • Comparison Engine, Shopping Directory, Lead Gen: 6% commission is payable as standard.
  • All Display: 7% commission is payable as standard.
  • Email & Display Retargeting: 3% payable as standard. 
  • Professional Building Supplies has made the decision to consistently reward sales based on a last click attribution model, de-duping against all other channels, based on the basket of goods (which excludes VAT and delivery charges).  
  • Rewards for affiliates up the conversion funnel (assist payments) are not yet available on the programme, but we are reviewing activity and could introduce such an incentive at a later date.
  • Commission will not be paid on repeat orders unless the repeat order came through the affiliate again. For example, if a customer places an order through the affiliate, we will pay a commission as per our terms. But if the customer was to call up two weeks later and place another unrelated order, we will not pay a commission on the second order. Each occasion will be reviewed individually.
  • Professional Building Supplies operates a 30 day attribution window.
  • Professional Building Supplies' Commission by Assist is evaluated and determined on a case-by-case basis.


NOTICE PERIOD

Professional Building Supplies agrees, wherever possible, to provide affiliates with reasonable notice on any significant changes to the campaign.

 

THE MERCHANT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER ANY OF THE PROGRAMME TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME.
