Vets In Action (17 – 25 February)
This February half term, kids can step into the role of a vet at Whipsnade Zoo during a fun week of interactive family events celebrating the incredible work of our vets.
Upon arrival at the specially created zoo vet centre, junior vets will be prepped with lab coats before helping experts examine, diagnose, and carry out treatments on toys, experiencing first-hand the huge variety of work carried out by the Zoo’s vets, vet nurses and zookeepers – from a red panda health check to caring for rescued tortoises. Plus, brand new for 2024, older children (7+ yrs old) will have the opportunity to take on the role of forensic vets, helping to solve wildlife crime.
Additional demonstrations and talks throughout the week will take families further inside the exciting world of the Zoo, explaining everything we do to keep our residents in tip-top condition.
Vets In Action activities are included in your Zoo admission ticket unless stated otherwise.
Zoonormous Egg Hunt (29 March – 14 April)
For the most eggcellent day out this Easter, join the Zoonormous Egg Hunt – a fun family trail around the Zoo, solving riddles to guide your path. Collect all the clues while learning about some incredible animals along the way, and see if you can unscramble them to crack the code.
With Easter craft activities and over 10,000 animals to see throughout the Zoo, you’re set for a fantastic family day out this Easter.
The Zoonormous Egg Hunt is included in your Zoo admission ticket.
