Great Bean Bags – Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions (AWIN)
These Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions (“Affiliate Terms”) govern participation in the Great Bean Bags affiliate programme operated by Precision Stitching Ltd (“We”, “Us”, “Our”). By applying to and participating in this programme via AWIN, you (“Affiliate”, “You”) agree to comply with these Affiliate Terms, AWIN’s Terms & Conditions, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Effective Date of Terms
These Affiliate Programme Terms apply to all affiliate interactions, clicks, and transactions occurring on or after 17 December 2025, regardless of when the Affiliate first joined the programme. Continued participation after this date constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Decisions made during the transaction validation period, in accordance with these Affiliate Terms and AWIN processes, shall be final.
1. Programme Acceptance & Compliance
1.1 Participation is subject to Our approval at Our sole discretion.
1.2 Affiliates must ensure all promotional activity is transparent, accurate, and compliant with:
- AWIN Terms & Conditions
- Applicable advertising and consumer protection legislation
- ASA and CAP Codes where applicable
1.3 We reserve the right to monitor, validate, approve, reject, or reverse transactions in line with AWIN attribution and validation principles.
2. Commission Validation & Incremental Value
2.1 Commission is conditional and payable only on validated transactions.
2.2 Transactions will only be approved where the Affiliate has made a clear, genuine, and incremental contribution to the conversion.
2.3 In line with AWIN’s attribution framework, commission may be declined where:
- The Affiliate did not influence the purchasing decision
- The interaction occurred after the customer had already decided to purchase
- The Affiliate captured traffic without meaningful engagement
2.4 For the avoidance of doubt, activity that merely redirects, reminds, or incentivises a customer already present on the Great Bean Bags website or already intending to purchase does not constitute incremental contribution.
3. Fraud, Manipulation & Prohibited Activity
3.1 Affiliates must not engage in any activity intended to manipulate tracking, attribution, or commission.
3.2 Prohibited activity includes (but is not limited to):
- Cookie stuffing or forced clicks
- Self-referrals or incentivised personal purchases
- Automated traffic, bots, or misleading redirections
- Misrepresentation of pricing, availability, or promotions
3.3 Breaches may result in transaction rejection, commission reversal, suspension, or removal from the programme, and may be reported to AWIN.
3.4 Where an affiliate interaction occurs immediately prior to checkout or purchase, a presumption of non-incrementality may apply, unless the Affiliate can demonstrate a clear and material influence on the purchasing decision.
4. PPC, Paid Search & Brand Bidding Policy
4.1 Affiliates may not bid on or target Our brand name, trademarks, or close variants in any paid search or paid social advertising.
4.2 Direct linking, URL masking, or impersonation of the brand is strictly prohibited.
4.3 Breaches will result in immediate commission rejection and possible programme removal.
5. Cashback & Voucher Site Rules
The following rules apply specifically to cashback, loyalty, and voucher-based Affiliates, and are intended to ensure fair attribution and transparency.
5.1 Approved Voucher Codes Only
Cashback and voucher Affiliates may only promote voucher codes that are:
- Explicitly provided via AWIN, or
- Confirmed in writing by Us
- Affiliates must not promote:
- Expired, generic, guessed, or scraped voucher codes
- Codes marked as “exclusive” to another partner
- Codes that are not publicly available or approved
5.2 Accurate Voucher Messaging
Affiliates must ensure that:
- Voucher availability, discount value, and conditions are accurate
- Any exclusions, minimum spend, or expiry dates are clearly stated
The following practices are prohibited:
- “Click to reveal” mechanics where no valid code exists
- Messaging implying savings where no discount applies
- “Best price”, “guaranteed discount”, or similar unsubstantiated claims
5.3 Cashback Transparency
Cashback Affiliates must clearly disclose:
- That cashback is provided by the Affiliate, not by Great Bean Bags
- That cashback is subject to transaction validation and approval
- That cashback may be declined where orders are cancelled, returned, or refunded
- Cashback must not be presented as:
- An instant discount on the order value
- A guaranteed saving provided by Us
5.4 Incrementality & Attribution
We reserve the right to decline or reverse commission where:
- The Affiliate interaction occurred at checkout without influencing the decision
- The Affiliate simply captured the final click without adding value
- The customer actively searched for the brand and the Affiliate provided no incremental incentive
- This includes, but is not limited to:
- Automatic pop-ups prompting cashback at checkout
- Browser extensions triggering without user intent
- Voucher reminders that do not offer an approved benefit
5.5 Technology Restrictions
Cashback and voucher Affiliates must not:
- Use browser extensions, toolbars, or plug-ins that automatically inject tracking
- Trigger tracking without a deliberate user click
- Override existing affiliate or marketing channel attribution
5.6 Breach Consequences
Any breach of these Cashback & Voucher Site rules may result in:
- Rejection of affected transactions
- Reversal of commission
- Suspension or permanent removal from the programme
6. Pricing, Offers & Promotions
6.1 Affiliates must only promote pricing and offers displayed on Our website or supplied via AWIN.
6.2 Misrepresentation of pricing, delivery charges, returns, or warranties is prohibited.
7. Cancellations, Returns & Adjustments
7.1 Commission is not payable on cancelled, returned, or refunded orders.
7.2 Adjustments will be made in accordance with AWIN validation and reporting processes.
7.3 Commission may be adjusted or declined where an order is partially refunded, amended, or discounted post-purchase, including but not limited to goodwill refunds, delivery adjustments, or promotional corrections.
8. Brand Assets & Intellectual Property
8.1 Affiliates may only use approved brand assets supplied via AWIN or by Us.
8.2 All goodwill arising from use of Our intellectual property remains with Us.
9. Termination
9.1 Either party may terminate participation at any time.
9.2 Upon termination, all unpaid, unvalidated commission will be forfeited and promotional activity must cease immediately.
10. Relationship of the Parties
Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
11. Browser Extension, Toolbar & Software-Based Affiliate Rules
The following rules apply to any Affiliate operating a browser extension, toolbar, plug-in, software application, or similar technology (“Extension Affiliates”).
Participation by Extension Affiliates is restricted and conditional upon full compliance with this Clause.
11.1 Prior Disclosure & Approval
Extension Affiliates must declare the use of any browser extension, toolbar, or software-based technology at the time of application.
Use of extension-based technology is not permitted without Our prior written approval, regardless of whether the technology is user-installed or passive.
Failure to disclose extension usage will be treated as a material breach of these Affiliate Terms.
11.2 Explicit User Intent & Consent
Tracking may only occur where there is clear, deliberate, and informed user action.
Extension Affiliates must not:
- Automatically trigger affiliate tracking
- Fire tracking on page load, checkout load, or confirmation pages
- Insert tracking links without a conscious user click
11.5 Any user interaction must be:
- Clearly labelled
- Optional
- Non-deceptive
Generic or ambiguous calls-to-action such as “Activate”, “Enable”, “Apply”, or “Get Deal” are prohibited unless they clearly explain that an affiliate referral will occur.
11.3 No Interception or Overwriting of Attribution
Extension Affiliates must not:
- Intercept users already on Our website
- Replace or overwrite existing cookies or tracking
- Trigger tracking where another marketing channel has already influenced the sale
Transactions generated via last-moment interception, checkout prompts, or passive overlays will not be considered incremental and may be rejected.
11.4 Voucher & Cashback Restrictions (Extensions)
Extension Affiliates must not:
- Display voucher prompts where no valid, approved code exists
- Inject messaging suggesting savings where none apply
- Scrape, guess, or auto-test voucher codes
11.9 Cashback messaging must clearly state:
- Cashback is provided by the Affiliate, not Great Bean Bags
- Cashback is conditional on transaction validation
Cashback must not be presented as:
- A guaranteed saving
- An instant discount applied by Us
11.5 Technical & Behavioural Restrictions
Extension Affiliates must not:
- Trigger pop-ups, overlays, or notifications that disrupt checkout
- Use countdowns, urgency messaging, or misleading price comparisons
- Inject content that alters or obscures Our website
Any technology that materially alters the user experience or purchasing journey is prohibited.
11.6 Data Collection & Privacy Compliance
Extension Affiliates must:
- Comply with GDPR, UK GDPR, and applicable data protection laws
- Clearly disclose data collection and tracking behaviour
- Obtain all required user consents
- Any breach of data protection obligations will result in immediate removal from the programme.
11.7 Transaction Validation & Rejection
We reserve the right to:
- Reject all transactions generated by extension-based activity
- Apply zero-commission validation rules
- Implement click-to-sale time restrictions
- Remove access to the programme without notice
Where extension activity is deemed non-incremental, commission will be declined regardless of last-click attribution.
11.8 Breach & Enforcement
Breach of this Clause may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination
- Reversal of all pending and historical commission
- Reporting to AWIN for platform-level action
12. Hierarchy of Terms
Where these Browser Extension rules conflict with any other Affiliate Terms, this Clause shall take precedence for Extension Affiliates.
13. Governing Law
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
