These General Program Terms govern participation in the Spindle Affiliate Program (the “Program”) operated by Spindle (“Spindle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through the Awin Affiliate Network (“Awin”).
By participating in the Program, affiliates (“Publisher,” “Affiliate,” or “you”) agree to comply with these Terms, as well as the Awin Network Terms and Conditions.
Participation in the Program is subject to approval by Spindle and may be revoked at any time at Spindle’s sole discretion.
1. Program Overview
The Spindle Affiliate Program is designed for publishers and creators who produce original content related to mattresses, sleep, and bedroom products.
Ideal partners include publishers who create content that helps consumers understand and evaluate mattress options through thoughtful reviews, educational content, and product comparisons.
Examples of suitable partners include:
• Mattress review websites
• Product comparison guides
• Sleep blogs and educational websites
• YouTube creators producing mattress or sleep-related content
• Social media creators on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Content publishers producing buying guides and mattress reviews
We particularly value partners who create:
• In-depth mattress reviews
• Sleep education content
• Mattress comparison guides
• Video demonstrations and product walkthroughs
• Authentic experiences using our products
Creators who produce high-quality video content or share authentic product experiences are strongly encouraged to participate.
2. Publisher Eligibility
To participate in the Program, publishers must operate platforms that provide original, informative, and useful content to consumers researching mattresses and sleep products.
Spindle carefully reviews all affiliate applications and reserves the right to approve or deny participation based on factors including:
• Quality of content
• Relevance to sleep or mattress topics
• Transparency and trustworthiness of the publisher
• Traffic quality and user experience
Spindle may remove publishers from the program at any time if their traffic sources or promotional methods do not align with the goals of the Program.
3. Publishers Not Eligible for This Program
The Spindle Affiliate Program is designed for content creators and editorial publishers, and is not intended for certain types of affiliate models.
The following publisher types are generally not accepted into the program:
• Coupon or deal websites
• Cashback or rebate programs
• Loyalty or reward programs
• Browser extensions or toolbars
• Websites consisting primarily of scraped, automated, or AI-generated content without meaningful editorial value
• Sites that provide little or no original content
Spindle reserves the right to decline or remove publishers operating under these models.
4. Commission Structure
Affiliates earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through tracked affiliate links provided via the Awin platform.
A qualifying transaction must meet the following criteria:
• The customer clicks a valid affiliate tracking link
• The purchase occurs within the designated cookie window
• The order is not cancelled, refunded, or charged back
• The order complies with all program policies
Commissions are calculated based on the net sale amount, excluding:
• Taxes
• Shipping fees
• Returns or refunds
• Promotional credits or discounts
Spindle reserves the right to modify commission rates or program incentives with notice through the Awin platform.
5. Cookie Duration and Attribution
The program uses the tracking window defined within the Awin platform.
If a user clicks multiple affiliate links before making a purchase, commission attribution will follow Awin’s attribution rules, typically on a last-click basis, unless otherwise specified.
6. Paid Advertising Policy
Affiliates may promote Spindle through paid advertising only in ways that do not compete with Spindle’s own branded advertising.
Allowed promotional methods include:
• Native advertising
• Social media advertising
• Content amplification
• Display advertising
• Paid promotion of editorial content or reviews
Affiliates may not bid on trademarked brand terms including:
• spindle
• spindle mattress
• spindle latex mattress
• buy spindle mattress
Affiliates may not:
• Direct link paid search ads to the Spindle website
• Use Spindle domain names in display URLs
• Create ads that appear to be official Spindle advertising
Violation of paid search policies may result in removal from the Program and reversal of commissions.
7. Content Guidelines
Publishers must ensure that all content promoting Spindle products is:
• Accurate
• Truthful
• Not misleading
• Based on genuine product evaluation or research
Publishers may not make unsupported claims about Spindle products, including:
• Medical claims
• Claims related to curing sleep disorders
• Unsupported health guarantees
Affiliate relationships must be clearly disclosed in accordance with FTC disclosure guidelines.
Example disclosure:
“This article contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links we may earn a commission.”
8. Coupon and Discount Policy
Spindle provides promotional offers through approved marketing channels.
Affiliates may only promote:
• Offers supplied directly by Spindle
• Offers listed within the Awin platform
Affiliates may not:
• Promote unauthorized coupon codes
• Create misleading discount claims
• Publish expired promotions
9. Trademark and Brand Usage
Spindle trademarks, brand names, and logos may only be used in accordance with approved marketing materials.
Affiliates may not:
• Register domain names containing the Spindle brand name
• Create websites that impersonate Spindle
• Modify Spindle logos or brand assets
Examples of prohibited domains include:
• spindle-mattress.com
• buyspindle.com
• spindle-deals.com
10. Prohibited Traffic Sources
The following traffic methods are strictly prohibited:
• Cookie stuffing
• Forced redirects
• Malware or adware
• Toolbar or browser injection
• Fake clicks or artificially generated traffic
• Misleading advertising practices
Traffic must come from legitimate editorial content or approved promotional channels.
11. Email Marketing
Email marketing is permitted only if:
• The publisher owns the email list
• Recipients have opted in to receive communications
• Emails comply with CAN-SPAM regulations
Affiliates may not impersonate Spindle or represent themselves as an official Spindle communication channel.
12. Returns and Commission Adjustments
Spindle offers trial periods and return policies on products.
If an order is refunded, cancelled, or returned:
• The associated affiliate commission will be reversed.
Spindle also reserves the right to reverse commissions resulting from fraudulent or invalid transactions.
13. Fraud Prevention
Spindle monitors traffic sources and transaction patterns for suspicious activity.
Examples of prohibited behavior include:
• Self-referrals
• Artificially generated orders
• Manipulation of tracking systems
• Abuse of promotional codes
If fraudulent activity is detected, Spindle may:
• Reverse commissions
• Remove the affiliate from the program
• Notify Awin of the violation
14. Program Changes
Spindle reserves the right to modify:
• Commission rates
• Program structure
• Promotional policies
• Program eligibility requirements
Changes will be communicated via the Awin platform.
Continued participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of any updates.
15. Termination
Spindle may terminate affiliate participation at any time for reasons including:
• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or misleading promotion
• Traffic sources inconsistent with program goals
• Brand misrepresentation
Affiliates may terminate participation at any time by removing affiliate links.
