Terms & Conditions of the SNIPES Europe Affiliate Program
The affiliate confirms that they have acknowledged the general terms and conditions of the affiliate network through which they apply for the SNIPES Europe Affiliate Program. Furthermore, the affiliate commits to complying with the following terms set by the SNIPES Group. Any violation of these or the network’s terms entitles the SNIPES Group to immediately terminate participation in the SNIPES Europe Affiliate Program and / or cancel any irregularly generated leads / sales.
1. Advertising with the SNIPES Brand
1.1. The provided advertising materials may not be altered in any way. The SNIPES website may not be displayed in a popup, popunder, frame, or iframe. The links provided with the advertising materials may also not be modified.
1.2. The affiliate may only use SNIPES’ names, logos, proprietary brands, and advertising materials provided through the network / Network newsletter for affiliate marketing activities. The data must not be used for offline measures. Additionally, the use of the SNIPES name or logo for PR activities and direct marketing of any kind — especially newsletters — must be coordinated in advance with the SNIPES Affiliate Management and requires prior written approval. 1.3. Only promotions and vouchers available via the affiliate network’s promotion tool and / or communicated through the network’s affiliate newsletter may be promoted. Transactions using CRM vouchers (e.g., newsletter signup or loyalty program vouchers) will not be compensated.
1.4. The purchase of gift cards in the online shop will not be compensated.
1.5. It is not permitted to publicly advertise codes for vouchers that require registration.
1.6. The distribution of spam emails is prohibited. The owner of the email address must have explicitly opted in to receive marketing emails in advance. Furthermore, the affiliate must be clearly identifiable as the sender; the email must not appear to come from SNIPES. For sending newsletters and / or email marketing, explicit written consent from the SNIPES Affiliate Team via affiliate@snipes.com
is required.
1.7. Applications from layer partners and banner networks will not be accepted.
1.8. Cookie dropping / typosquatting is strictly prohibited.
1.9. The affiliate’s website must not contain spyware, adware, malware, viruses, or other harmful content. The use of software or proxy services that modify URLs, manipulate tracking links, or replace advertising banners with own ads is prohibited.
1.10. Every affiliate website used for promotion must be transparently accessible. If these conditions are not met, SNIPES reserves the right to terminate the partnership (all campaigns in all countries) and / or cancel generated leads / sales.
2. SEM
2.1. The term “SNIPES” may not be booked as a keyword on search engines — neither alone nor in combination with other words and / or group brands. This applies both to result links and to special placements outside the displayed search results.
2.2. Affiliates are not allowed to book SNIPES’ proprietary brand keywords on Google or other search engines.
2.3. Booking typo keywords or keywords that slightly deviate from the original term is also prohibited (e.g., Snips, Sipes, Snnipes, Snpes …). Therefore, in SEM campaigns, the brand name SNIPES and its variations / typos must additionally be added as negative keywords using the Negative Broad option. These terms and their misspellings may not be used in search ads. It is also prohibited to use domain names that directly or indirectly infringe the trademark rights of SNIPES.
3. General Exclusion Criteria
Affiliates publishing the following content on their websites will not be admitted to the SNIPES Affiliate Program:
• Political, erotic, or pornographic content
• Weapons, violence, or glorification of violence
• Positive portrayal of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco
• Criminally relevant content
• Insults or content violating third-party rights
The following segments are also excluded from participation:
• Banner networks
• Coupon / Voucher websites
• Sites without content, faulty domains, or inaccessible websites
• Operators of paidmail systems
• Postview
• Browser extensions
4. Additional Requirements for Affiliate Websites
• Complete legal notice / imprint
• Website in the respective program country’s language
• Appealing website design
• Newsletter senders: Affiliates whose primary business model is sending newsletters must ensure that all email addresses were generated using a double opt-in process, and the newsletter template must be submitted to the SNIPES Affiliate Team for approval before sending.
5. Miscellaneous
5.1. The affiliate is not entitled to disclose the agreed commission amount to end customers.
5.2. Affiliates with individual commission agreements are excluded from standard commission models, bonus tiers, or special compensation during promotions.
5.3. The affiliate is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and continuous updates of the data and information provided by SNIPES (e.g., promotions).
5.4. SNIPES reserves the right to terminate an existing partnership and / or withhold commissions.
5.6. The tracking method “Last Session Entry” is applied. Once a user enters the shop, a session is opened and lasts for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of inactivity, a new session begins. The first session within the 30-minute window receives credit for the sale.
