LAMU places strict limitations on the use of paid search advertising (PPC) to ensure the integrity of our brand and maintain fair competition within our affiliate network. The following PPC restriction rules apply to all affiliates participating in the LAMU Affiliate Program:
1. No Bidding on Brand Terms
Affiliates are prohibited from bidding on any of the following:
LAMU or Delamu brand names or any variations thereof, including but not limited to misspellings, abbreviations, or close approximations.
Any product names, model names, or branded terms associated with LAMU products (e.g., "LAMU Turntable Organizer," "LAMU Fridge Organizer," etc.).
2. No Directing Ads to Affiliate Links
Affiliates may not run PPC ads (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) that directly link to their affiliate links or LAMU product pages. All ads must comply with the following:
Landing Pages: Affiliates must create a website or landing page that provides value, content, or product reviews before linking to LAMU’s product pages.
No Direct Affiliate Links in Ads: You may not use your affiliate link as the destination URL in PPC ads. The ad must direct traffic to an intermediary page (e.g., your website or blog) where the affiliate link is used.
3. No Brand Impersonation
Affiliates may not use any form of brand impersonation, including:
Using LAMU trademarks or variations as part of the PPC ad copy, especially if it confuses customers into thinking they are being directed to LAMU’s official site.
Creating ads that mimic the style, language, or tone of LAMU’s official ads, promotions, or messaging.
4. No Competitive Bidding
Affiliates may not bid on competitor brand names or any related products using LAMU’s affiliate links. For example, bidding on keywords related to other home organization brands while directing traffic to LAMU products is prohibited.
5. No Usage of PPC for Negative Campaigns
Affiliates may not use PPC advertising to promote LAMU products through negative campaigns or tactics that compare LAMU products unfavorably to competitors.
6. No Google Shopping Ads
Affiliates are prohibited from using Google Shopping ads (or any similar service) to promote LAMU products, unless explicit written consent is given by LAMU.
7. Geo-Targeting
Affiliates may not target ads to specific geographical regions where LAMU does not operate or where restrictions on product sales or marketing exist, unless otherwise authorized by LAMU.
8. Compliance with Platform Policies
Affiliates must comply with the advertising policies of the platforms they use (e.g., Google Ads, Bing, Facebook Ads). Any violations of these platform policies could result in the suspension of your affiliate account.
9. Right to Review and Suspend
LAMU reserves the right to monitor and review all PPC campaigns. Affiliates found in violation of these rules may be subject to suspension or termination from the LAMU Affiliate Program. Affiliates may also forfeit commissions from any sales generated through non-compliant ads.
