Rungolee is a small batch, "global travel-inspired" women's ready-to-wear brand based in St Louis, with its own manufacturing atelier in Mumbai, India.
Designed by Anjali Kamra, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY, the business is in its 11th year. Design and creativity run in Anjali’s family. Her aunt ran an international fashion house in the ’90s creating couture-beaded gowns for department stores, Parisian society, and Bollywood stars. Building on the small batch and artistic heritage of her aunt’s legacy, she debuted her first collection 11 years ago in her home on an antique four-poster bed.
This first collection sold out that night and the rest is history.
Anjali is forever traveling to source and gain inspiration for her seasonless blouses, easy-to wear-dresses, and embroidered capes that are equal parts luxurious and versatile. She designs all her own exclusive prints and can customize them as well. Made by a team of amazing artisans at her personal Atelier in Mumbai, they are designed to travel the world. Being backward-integrated by owning our own production provides quality control and allows for keeping the price point very accessible while maintaining a very high-quality standard.
The new collection features season-spanning silk blouses with sporty stripe detailing, light and freeing tiered long dresses as well as short and flirty ruffled skirts, for those who prefer to show more leg. Smocked detailing, elegant ruching, pretty prints, and embroidered cover-ups set the mood for warmer temperatures.
