Figlia was born out of a desire to have more honest and inclusive conversations around alcohol consumption. From casual drinkers to those who never drink, we all want to feel less alone. To be included. And most importantly, to find moments of joy and connection.
OUR STORY
For most of her life, our founder Lily watched her father battle with alcoholism and at the age of 20, she lost him to the disease. Losing her father to alcoholism put a lot into perspective as it related to drinking as a whole, along with her own drinking habits. More specifically, this made Lily aware of the lack of options available for those who do not drink. During the pandemic, she decided there was something to do about it. To provide a delicious and sophisticated option for those who do not drink for whatever reason but first and foremost, for those who are actively fighting every day to not drink. This is when the idea for Figlia came to be.
First and foremost, Figlia is a mission-driven brand. We have set out to have honest conversations around alcohol consumption, while aiming to better support our best selves, our community and our planet. But we can’t do it alone. That is why we support non-profits who are working diligently to help end addiction and support the environment. We believe that you can’t have happy and healthy communities without a happy and healthy planet.
We give a portion of every single sale to Partnership to End Addiction and Harlem Grown via our membership to 1% for the Planet. We call this act sipping for good. And in supporting Figlia, you help us do just that—good.
We are building a community of non-drinkers, those who are sober-curious, or just looking to add healthier habits to their daily routines. We are here for those who are choosing not to drink, no matter what their reason may be.
