Supporting American Manufacturing
In 2010, Mike James could no longer find the quality, American-made over the calf dress socks that he had worn for years. Local brands and manufacturers had either gone out of business or moved production overseas. As a whole, the textile industry in our home state of North Carolina was reeling. Boardroom Socks began with a simple question: how can we produce high-quality socks while supporting our local textile industry?
Seven Generations of Tradition
Mike and Carol James are the husband and wife team that started Boardroom Socks, working alongside their youngest son, Nathan. The past seven generations of our family have worked in the textile industry, tracing back to 1837 when the family's original fabric mill opened in rural North Carolina.
