App Description

We believe the traditional way of pricing car insurance is fundamentally unfair & broken.

People who drive well are less likely to have an accident, and therefore should pay less for their car insurance regardless of their age, marital status and occupation etc.

The price you are currently paying is based primarily on demographics, & relies on a broken system where both good & bad drivers are pooled together. Essentially if you are a safe driver you are subsidising the cost of bad drivers’ accidents. We're here to change that.

Using our app to monitor users driving behaviour over a 3 week period, we can evaluate how safe they are looking at factors like speeding, braking and distracted driving to evaluate their individual risk, and this is what we base our insurance prices on. By not insuring bad drivers (the bottom 30% who make up nearly half of all claims), we pay out far less claims than traditional insurers and pass those savings on to our community of safe drivers.

 

How it works:

  1. User downloads the Rooster Car Insurance app
  2. User completes a quick onboarding (2 mins) after which their ‘Test Drive’ period starts - the 3 week period where we evaluate their driving
  3. At the end of the Test Drive, the customer receives a quote based on their performance. Quotes are valid for 30 days, Test Drives for 18 months.
  4. User purchases a policy.

 

Our Program:

Rooster are looking for partners to drive new users to our app. We will be paying commission for every user who starts a Test Drive AND any policy purchased. The commission rates are as follows:

  1. Test Drive Started (or ‘Completed Onboarding’) - £5 (GBP)
  2. Policy Purchased - £50 (GBP)

 

Limitations:

We only operate in the UK and NOT Northern Ireland, so only England, Scotland and Wales. Please ensure any activity only runs in these countries.

Users need to be at least 19 years old to be valid for a quote. Users under 19 can still sign up and take the Test Drive but will not be able to purchase a policy until their 19th birthday.
