The Irix story began in 2016 with a single goal – to design lenses we actually wanted to use. Built by a team of photographers, engineers, and creatives from across Europe, we aim to reflect a practical, user-focused approach grounded in firsthand experience.
Every lens we produce blends mechanical precision with real-world usability. Product development and design take place in Europe, while manufacturing is handled in Korea – a country with real expertise in lens-making. The outcome is simple: tools that do their job with clarity and consistency.

What We Stand For
Irix began with photography – and the first lens we ever released, the 15mm, still defines much of how we think about design. Each model in the lineup is manual-focus and built for full-frame cameras, with internal focusing, a focus lock, and a weather-sealed construction that stands up to challenging conditions.
