Commission:
- 3% Commission for a successful booking
A booking at Tourlane is made after at least 2 individualized calls with one of our travel agents. The first call takes place after the customer filled out our enquiry experience (e.g. enquiry experience for Thailand).
The customer will be called proactively by our travel experts and will be consulted on his travel plans. If the customer is willing and content to proceed with us, we will set-up a 2nd call where our travel experts will present an initial draft for the customer's individual travel plan.
After this 2nd call, further calls can be arranged to adjust the planned travel experience. If the customer is already happy after the 2nd call, a booking could already be initiated at this stage.
For publishers that means:
- The initially specified transaction value is only representing the budget that the customer is willing to spend for the trip. The customer indicates his budget during the enquiry experience. This is not the final booking value on which the commission will be based on. The transaction value will therefore be adjusted as soon as the booking is confirmed with the exact transaction value.
- Since we offer individualized travel plans for each customer, there is no set-in-stone timeframe between a successful lead and a successful booking. The time from lead to booking can therefore differ and has to be taken into account.
- The transaction shown in AWIN is simply a placeholder: There is a high chance that the transaction will be declined due to the customer not wanting to be called, not having enough budget, not being interested in the offer, not liking the offer, etc. Commission is only paid for a successful booking and not for a lead.
