I sell hand woven, one-of-a-kind handbags (called mochilas) made by tribal women in Colombia. This microsupport provides each woman the means to support their families and their tribes to help lift them out of poverty. My mother and my brother are Colombian, my father is of italian descent, born in Argentina, My parents immigrated to NYC in 1968, I was born in NYC a couple of years later. I am 1st generation American and am, in fact, the very first person from my family to be born in the US. My father passed in 2018, since then I have been on a journey to reconnect with my Latin heritage and help promote the beautiful crafts from these ancient tribes.
The woven bags are my main focus, however in my shop you will also find coastal home decor, accessories and limited batch, hand printed and hand sewn apparel.
I am looking for an influencer partner who understands the value of hand crafted items. Each item is unique and vibrant, reflecting the personalities of the weavers that pour 25+ hours into each bag, weaving with love and intent.
