About Baruni
Baruni is a luxury occasionwear house based in Dubai, founded by designer Fadwa Baruni, who studied art and fashion design at Edinburgh College of Art after an earlier career in engineering. She is still hands on today, sourcing the fabrics, developing the designs and guiding every stage of production.
Dresses are made in small runs, which keeps every piece exclusive. Several of our fabrics, including our signature jacquards, are woven exclusively for Baruni. Pieces are stocked by Harvey Nichols in Saudi Arabia and Doha, Galeries Lafayette Doha, Printemps Doha, Tryano Abu Dhabi, Incanto Bahrain, Rubaiyat Saudi Arabia and Farfetch.
What we sell
Wedding guest dresses, mother of the bride gowns, evening and gala gowns, kaftans, resort wear and elevated daywear, including pieces for Ramadan and Eid. Full price dresses run from 300 to 790 dollars, with most around 500. A permanent outlet carries past season pieces from 66 dollars.
Why this programme converts
Most of our styles have sleeves, or can be matched by one of our capes. That is rare at this price point and it is the main reason customers choose us over a department store.
Every product page publishes the actual garment measurements at every size, alongside a guide to measuring yourself and how much ease to allow. Customers order with far more confidence than is usual in this category.
Sizes run XS to XL, with XXL on many styles. Kaftans are free size and fit up to XXL.
Delivery is free within the United Arab Emirates and takes one to two days there, two to three days across the Gulf and three to five days to the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
