More than four decades ago, Simon Ghanimian arrived in America with just $200 in his pocket and a dream of going to college to be an engineer. However, when he tried to sign up for classes in New York, he couldn’t afford. Luckily, he had a relative working in the diamond district who invited him to work there and save up for school. He started setting diamonds, and soon fell in love with the process, artistry, and details of jewelry making.

Today, Simon G. enters its second chapter under the leadership of one of Simon’s sons, Zaven Ghanimian, who now serves as CEO. Having grown up around the business, Zaven witnessed firsthand the dedication, discipline, and care his father poured into every part of the company. Those lessons shaped not only how he leads, but how he views the purpose of the brand itself.
