Florentine Kitchen Knives is a Barcelona-based company that sells worldwide. Founded in 2012 by industrial designer Tomer Botner, we design and hand-made premium kitchen knives from a range of high-end steels, tools made to be used every day and passed on, not replaced. Our goal is to make knives you actually want to pick up, and to inspire people to cook more.
Each knife is made to order to the customer's wishes or in small batches by hand, using a distinctive stacking technique that makes no two quite alike. Florentine's work has been featured by The New York Times, the Financial Times and Forbes, and our knives are carried by respected specialist retailers, including Bernal Cutlery in San Francisco and Eatingtools in New York.
From our workshop and showroom in central Barcelona we work with chefs, restaurants and home cooks around the world. Our knives are in service at some of the most acclaimed kitchens on the planet, three-Michelin-star rooms like Somni in Los Angeles, Lasarte in Barcelona and JAN in Munich, Gordon Ramsay's restaurants at The Savoy in London, and Cote by Simon Kim in all global location.
Almost a decade and a half in, this is a brand people come back to: a 25–30% customer return rate since we started, rare in a category most people buy from only once. For partners: these are high-consideration, high-value pieces (average order over €330), bought by an audience that researches before purchasing, exactly where strong content converts. The knives carry a real design story, photograph beautifully, and appeal to food, cooking and lifestyle audiences who genuinely recommend them to others.
