FitnessGenes’ patented DNA test analyzes 180+ genetic traits related to fat loss, muscle building, heart health, and more, enabling customers to personalize their health, fitness, and longevity plans based on biology, not trends
Founded by scientists who still run the company, FitnessGenes is led by a female CEO and supported by an in-house science team of geneticists, bioinformaticians and sports scientists.
In January 2026 we launched BASIL, the world’s first AI-powered, DNA-based longevity platform. BASIL ranks the foods, supplements and exercises that matter most for each individual and uses genetic information alongside lifestyle and health data to generate personalised, science-led recommendations.
We’ve recently gained backing from David Lloyd (former owner of David Lloyd Health Clubs) and former IFBB bodybuilder Ben Pakulski, highlighting rising fitness industry interest in genetics-led personalisation. We’re in discussion with numerous gym chains and personal trainers on using genetic data to improve health and fitness outcomes.
