Yoto was started by Ben and Filip, two dads with a shared background in the music industry united in that all-too-familiar tug of war between encouraging independent play in their kids and screen time. Influenced by the teachings of Maria Montessorri, the idea for a connected, screenless device that’d give children access to a whole world of audio felt like one that needed to be realised.
Amazing things happen when we let children lead the way. Independent kids are more creative, curious and confident. Everything we do, from the products and audio content we create to the partners we work with, is done with this belief in mind.
