Inspired by the aesthetic and philosophy embodied by founders Andrew Arrick and Michael Hofemann’s Columbia County home and garden, the brand is built on a belief that home should feel deeply personal, layered, and alive. Arrick and Hofemann carefully curate objects with beauty, integrity, and a story to tell—creating richly textured spaces that resonate with meaning. FINCH hudson invites customers to surround themselves with pieces that elevate the everyday, celebrating the simple pleasures of a life well-lived at home, in a nest they love.
What began in 2013 as a small curated shop in Hudson has grown into a 10,000-square-foot beloved design destination with a cult following. Now entering its next chapter, FINCH hudson is evolving into a national lifestyle brand, building upon its roots in experiential retail with exclusive collaborations and a growing direct-to-consumer product line.
ABOUT THE FOUNDERS:
Andrew Arrick and Michael Hofemann left behind careers in luxury fashion and finance to pursue a shared dream: to create a new kind of retail experience in the Hudson Valley. Where others saw antiques, they saw opportunity—for immersive, elevated, and emotionally resonant design.
Andrew brings over 25 years of experience in luxury fashion, with past roles at Celine, Saint Laurent, and Carolina Herrera. He also draws inspiration from his roots—his father was an antique dealer in Newport, Rhode Island. Michael’s background as a CFO and business leader provided the foundation to scale the brand thoughtfully and strategically.
Together, they’ve redefined what it means to be a design destination—blending their passion for storytelling, their love of vintage, and their belief that good design should feel personal, soulful, and alive.
