The Story Behind the Bottle
Sips was founded by Kunal Kapoor, who also leads Curated Sourcing (a product development agency that has created over 1,000 lifestyle products for global retailers and brands such as SpaceNK, Anthropologie & Selfridges). After years of bringing other brands’ ideas to life, he felt drawn to create something of his own, one beautiful, well-considered product that felt essential, stylish and joyful.
The idea for Sips began in 2022, when a simple water bottle brought along to a trade show for personal use became the most talked about item at the stand. Inspired by the unexpected buzz, Kunal partnered with industrial designer Jonathan Slatter to create a refined version from scratch and in 2025, they debuted a collection of full-colour prototypes at Luxe Pack NY in May 2025, quickly establishing Sips as a standout.
