Out Of The Grey Coffee® is an award-winning specialty custom small batch coffee roaster and loose-leaf tea merchant based on the top of Tobacco Row Mountain, Virginia.
We are a specialty coffee company that honors your refined taste. Whether you gravitate toward bold blends, balanced profiles, bright single origins or even handcrafted flavored coffee, we're here to guide you to your perfect cup - no matter what your coffee mood. And if you're still discovering what you love, we'll help you find it, one delicious sip at a time.
Our roasting and shipping processes are meticulously designed to ensure peak freshness. Be it blend, single origin or handcrafted flavored, every coffee receives the same level of care. Each is given a custom roast profile to unlock its fullest expression, with precise flavor targets and a rigorous scoring system to ensure consistency. We roast and ship directly from our roastery. To preserve quality and freshness, we roast to order in small batches and then send the coffee to our customers so quickly (within 24-hrs of roast) that it retains that just roasted aroma and arrives "almost still warm". In packaging the coffee, we use the highest quality block bottom and side gusseted bags with the best one-way degassing valve available. These bags also have a pull tab, which makes it easy to open and an additional internal Ziploc® for the customer to use once the original heat fused seal is broken.
We have selectively stocked over twenty-six different coffee beans from around the world and offer over 181 different coffee and tea creations.
At Out Of The Grey Coffee®, a cup of great-tasting coffee is more than just a caffeine jolt. Coffee is about pleasure. It is at that moment your hand is warmed by the mug when you raise it to your nose and deeply inhale and then take a sip. This experience should be savored one sip at a time again.
