Hardwicke’s of California makes and sells traditional brush-style shaving cream, crafted with organic ingredients and pure botanical oils. Inspired by the slow food and artisan movements, Hardwicke’s embraces the “Slow Shave” lifestyle, turning a daily chore into a centering ritual of self-care.
After a decade of research and hundreds of experiments, we developed shaving creams that rival the best Old World standards while expressing a distinctly New World, West Coast perspective. Each jar is saponified with organic vegetable oils, enriched with Meadowfoam Seed Oil (a West Coast native plant), and balanced with Pine Rosin for a rich, creamy lather. Our blends are vegan-friendly, manufactured in the San Francisco Bay Area under GMP standards, and designed for exceptional glide and skin comfort.
For those who prefer pure performance, our “Native State” cream is fragrance-free. For those who enjoy scent, our botanical essential oil blends evoke memory, adventure, and mood, without lingering synthetic fragrance. Each jar is packaged in heavy glass for a tactile, elevated experience.
