Terms & Conditions
All affiliates are encouraged and expected to read and adhere to the terms and conditions set out below.
Highland Broadband pay affiliates on a payment-on-activation model basis. This means affiliates will be awarded commission when the customer has been installed and activates their Highland Broadband service and passes the 14 day cooling off period.

Contact
All affiliates must be contactable within a reasonable amount of time. All affiliates agree to consult with Highland Broadband on a regular basis to improve the relationship and their performance.
Brand / Creative
- Any websites or emails must be clearly co-branded with the affiliates brand (they must not look as though they are Highland Broadband's own website). The affiliate website must display its own branding / logo to emphasise that it is a third-party website endorsing Highland Broadband.
- Emails: All copy must be approved and email lists de-duped.
- Affiliates will take reasonable care to use up-to-date imagery, ad copy and promotions in their marketing.
- Affiliates are requested to use creative supplied by Highland Broadband through the Awin interface.
- Commissions are payable only on verified transactions on an activation model basis.
Social Media and PR
- Highland Broadband requires that affiliates promoting Highland Broadband through social media do not appear to be an official Highland representative
- Affiliates promoting through social media sources such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc may not register usernames that contain the Highland Broadband brand or misspellings without written permission.
- Affiliates are not permitted to feature the Highland Broadband brand in offline marketing activity or press releases without written permission.
Lead Generation and Data Collection
Affiliates are not allowed to use the Highland Broadband brand to collect lead or information on customers unless they obtain prior written approval from Highland Broadband. If Affiliates are expressly authorised to process personal data on behalf of Highland Broadband, they must comply with Highland Broadband Personal Data requirements.
Paid Search
- Affiliates should not bid on hybrid brand + generic terms.
- Affiliates should not bid on misspelling and variations of the brand term.
Validations
Broadband orders that can can be fulfilled (ie Ready for service and an installation date given) are not activated within 90 days of purchase will be declined.
Sales may be declined because of the following reasons (not limited to):
- - Payment details not authorised
- - Broadband/network issue (i.e. broadband not available)
- - Active account already at address
- - Previous account issues
- - Payment failure
- - Incorrect address/details provided
- - Installation Issues (i.e. date not available)
- - Unauthorised use of discount codes
- - Not validating the BDUK voucher post installation
Copy & Legal Compliance
Affiliates agree to adhere to the relevant regulations at all times and to take reasonable care in ensuring their marketing is compliant.
The Affiliate shall comply with all instructions and guidelines Highland Broadband or the network may issue from time to time in respect of the presentation and/or display of marketing communications. The Affiliate must correct any errors immediately and at its own expense. The Affiliate must remove any copy or marketing immediately on the request by Highland Broadband or the network.
Affiliates must only use copy that is provided by Highland Broadband through the networks. Copy of the Highland Broadband website can be used but must be monitored daily to ensure it is up to date.
It is the Affiliates responsibility to ensure they accurately promote Highland Broadband’s products and services.
Termination
If an Affiliate is deemed to have broken these terms and conditions, then at Highland Broadband's discretion: The Affiliate commissions can be refused (declined) for transactions relevant to the breach. The affiliate may also be removed from the programme. Affiliates performance will be reviewed on a regular basis, those who has been inactive (not driven any sales) over a certain period of time may result in removal from the programme. Those removed are welcome to re-apply to the programme.
