Please read the following conditions carefully. By participating in the ALTERNATE Partner Program via the affiliate network, you accept these terms as binding.
1. Participation Requirements
Only publishers with legally compliant, content-appropriate, and technically accessible websites are eligible to participate. We do not work with the following types of partners:
• Websites without a valid legal notice
• Inaccessible, faulty, or under-construction websites, apps, or browser applications
• Content that is immoral, pornographic, harmful to minors, racist, glorifies violence, or is otherwise illegal
• Websites connected with gambling, sports betting, online casinos, lotteries, or comparable offers, or that promote such content
• Content with extremist or political positions
• Publishers that promote or use bots, browser plugins, tools, or software for automated purchases (scalping), price manipulation, cookie dropping, or similar activities
Violations will result in immediate exclusion from the partner program, loss of commission entitlement, and possible legal action.
2. Prohibited Advertising Methods
The following methods are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and the loss of all pending commission claims:
• Search Engine Advertising (SEA) related to the brand “ALTERNATE,” e.g., via Google, Bing, or Yahoo Ads:
o with a visible URL pointing to alternate.de o with a direct target URL or redirect to our website
• Social media ads using ALTERNATE logos, brand names, or product images without prior approval
• “Forced clicks” (e.g., automatic redirects, overlay pop-ups, auto-clicks)
• Selling or passing on ALTERNATE advertising materials to third parties
• Use of sub-networks or additional partner networks without written approval
• Advertising via cashback sites without explicit approval from ALTERNATE
• Advertising on voucher or discount code sites, especially when expired or unauthorized vouchers are promoted
• Automated tools, bots, or plugins for purchase processing or gaining price advantages
3. Advertising Materials
ALTERNATE provides the following advertising materials via the affiliate network:
• A constantly updated product data feed
• A wide selection of banners and text links
• Additional advertising materials upon request through our affiliate team Please use only the content and materials provided by ALTERNATE.
4. Sales & Compensation
• The standard commission rate is 3% of the net shopping cart value (excluding shipping costs, taxes, fees)
• No commission is paid for:
o Orders from abroad placed via our spanish shop (alternate.es)
o Additional fees such as payment provider charges
o Transport or shipping costs
• Commission payments are released at the earliest after 60 days
• Retrospective commission requests will only be accepted up to 6 months after the order date
• The final review and approval of transactions is carried out by ALTERNATE, and decisions are binding
5. Termination of Partnership
• ALTERNATE reserves the right to end partnerships at any time without providing reasons
• In case of violations of these terms, termination is immediate
• Both publisher and ALTERNATE can terminate the cooperation at any time via the respective affiliate platform
6. Technical Framework & Support
To ensure smooth cooperation within the partner program, we provide our partners with a powerful infrastructure:
Tracking & Attribution:
• Our partner program is based on a reliable pay-per-sale model with a last-cookie-wins principle
• The cookie lifetime is 30 days, allowing delayed purchases to be attributed to the publisher
• Tracking is performed via the affiliate network’s standardized conversion tracking
Product Data & Advertising Materials:
• Partners have access to a daily updated product data feed (CSV format) for targeted product recommendations
• A wide variety of banners in all common formats and text links are available via the network
• Custom advertising materials can be created by our affiliate team upon request
