To be an authorized affiliate of KnownHost LLC, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
Please read this agreement carefully before registering and using the knownhost.com service as an affiliate. By signing up for the KnownHost affiliate program, you indicate your acceptance of this agreement and its terms and conditions.
1. Enrollment in this program. You will submit a completed application through our website and you will receive an email once your account has been approved. We will evaluate your account to ensure you comply with all our rules and agreements. We reserve the right to reject your account if we determine that your site is unsuitable for our affiliate program for any reason, including, but not limited to, if your site incorporates images or content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing or otherwise objectionable, such as sites that facilitate illegal activity or promote violence or promote or assist others in promoting copyright infringement.
2. Anti-Spam. We will not permit the use of unsolicited commercial email (SPAM) in relation to our affiliate program. Any affiliate found to be promoting KnownHost using SPAM will be banned from the program. Any accumulated commissions earned will not be paid out.
3. Trademark. Affiliates may not use KnownHost registered trademarks for any paid advertising campaign to direct sales to their affiliate links.
4. Commissions. All affiliates are paid a minimum of $95 USD per sale on all listed hosting packages. Affiliate commission is not paid on add-on packages, software licenses, domain registrations, entry, entry plus or ssl certificate sales. Commission is contingent on the completion of the sale.
5. Commission Payment. A referral’s account must be active for a minimum of 60 days for an affiliate to receive commission. Affiliates are paid on the 1st of each month. (Example, Affiliate would be paid on July 1st for referrals that have been approved and aged 60 days.) Affiliates must generate total revenue of $100 or more for referrals sent before first payment will be sent. All payments are made via paypal therefore you must have a paypal.com account in order for us to pay you commissions.
6. Checking your progress. Affiliates will be given access to a web based control panel which will allow you to monitor how many customers they have referred and on what days. The control panel is updated in real time so you will be able to check in and see the progress you are making.
7. Qualified Sales, Commission and Abuse. Payouts will be determined based on the commission rates agreed upon within the individual affiliates portal. Each sale must be a qualified sale. A qualified sale does NOT include the following.
1) Any purchase or sale that remains unpaid.
2) Any purchase or sale that issues a charge back, funds reversal, or payment denial.
3) Any purchase or sale that is for, or owned by the referring affiliate.
4) Any purchase or sale that is a current KnownHost customer.
5) Any purchase or sale that does not remain in good standing, violates KnownHost Terms of Service, or Acceptable Use Policy.
6) Any purchase or sale that, at KnownHosts sole discretion, is a fraudulent account.
7) Any purchase or sale that is entered directly by the affiliate and not entered unassisted by the customer.
8) Any purchase or sale that is intended to defraud the affiliate system by generating purchases solely for the intent of an affiliate payout.
9) Any purchase or sale that is not a valid and active account with legitimate customer activity. Including but not limited to, accounts using free domain names, active website and email content, valid user files and user activity.
10) Any purchase or sale that was generated from an affiliate offering additional cash, discounts, or compensation in exchange for the purchase.
11) Any purchase or sale that is referred by way of Google, Google AdWords or any other pay-per-click advertising platform.
8. Term of the Agreements. The term of this agreement will begin upon our acceptance of your affiliate program application and will end when terminated by either party. Either you or we may terminate this agreement at any time, with or without cause, by giving the other party notice of termination. Notice by e-mail, to your e-mail address on our records, is considered sufficient notice for us to terminate this agreement. If this agreement is terminated because you have violated the terms of this agreement you are not eligible to receive any commission payments, even for commissions earned prior to the date of termination. If this agreement is terminated for any other reason, you are only eligible to earn a commission on sales occurring during the term of the agreement, and commissions earned through the date of termination will remain payable only if the related orders are not canceled or returned. We reserve the right to withhold your final payment for a reasonable time to ensure that the correct amount is paid.
9. Damage to KnownHost LLC. You agree that once you become an affiliate of KnownHost you will not take any action that would in any way damage KnownHost whether it be verbally or otherwise compromise our servers or equipment. This includes the transmission of viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbot or other similar harmful or deleterious programming routines.
