PURPOSE
The purpose of the Coverstore affiliate program is to reach new audiences, increase new customer sales, reinforce credibility of the Coverstore brand, and encourage brand loyalty. The Coverstore affiliate program invites website owners, bloggers, social media publishers and online forum operators to promote our site and products and earn commissions on sales they refer to www.coverstore.com.
PUBLISHER AGREEMENT
This is the Agreement that will govern affiliate/publisher (”You”) participation in the Coverstore (“We”) affiliate program through the ShareASale network. Neither ShareASale nor any of its corporate affiliates are parties to this Agreement.
By applying as an affiliate within the Coverstore affiliate program, you indicate that you agree with the Terms & Conditions outlined within this Agreement.
The Coverstore can modify this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you immediately and at least 7 days prior to activating the change.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Partnership
In order to participate in the Coverstore affiliate program, you must apply through the ShareASale network. In order to begin earning commissions on qualified sales as outlined by the program details, we must accept your application for partnership. By accepting you as an affiliate within our program, we are only accepting the website and associated and verified social media accounts as specified by you within your application, and not partner or sister sites or their associated social media accounts. If you apply on behalf of a subnetwork or group of publishers, you must make clear in your application that this is the case.
2. Termination of partnership
Both publisher and Coverstore may terminate the partnership at any time and for any reason. Likely reasons for your partnership with us to become terminated are:
• Failure to comply with the Agreement
• Failure to comply with program details
• Failure to refer qualified sales
• Failure to comply with ShareASale network policies
• Misrepresentation of the Coverstore brand, website, business policies, or products
• We decide that your site no longer serves the purpose of the Coverstore affiliate program
In the event that the partnership is terminated by either party, we will continue to pay commissions, as originally agreed, on qualified sales with an order date prior to the program termination notice.
3. Creative assets
Coverstore wants publishers participating in our affiliate network to be successful in driving qualified sales to the Coverstore site, and offering their readership engaging content about the Coverstore brand and products. In support of these goals, we are committed to providing fresh and functional creative assets, and promptly notifying you of any new or updated creative assets. “Creative assets” could include web banner creative, content ideas, datafeeds, and links.
Coverstore maintains all rights and ownership of creative assets, logos, its name, website, copyrights and trademarks. You may not copy, distribute, sublicense, or modify these creative assets.
Creative assets are available to all approved publishers within our affiliate network, and may be updated or made inaccessible by us at any time.
By utilizing creative assets provided by Coverstore, you assume responsibility of notifying us immediately of broken or malfunctioning images or links.
We encourage publishers to provide suggestions or special requests for creative assets to support the purpose of the Coverstore affiliate program.
4. Commissions
We agree to pay out a specific commission rate on qualified referrals. A “qualified referral” is traffic to the www.coverstore.com website, generated by a qualified link on your site, that results in a validated sale within a designated cookie time period. A “qualified link” is a link from your site to our site utilizing ShareASale tracking, that is the last link to our site that a customer clicked prior to placing an order. A “validated sale” is an order placed online by a customer that is processed and delivered, and not returned. Coverstore reserves the right to cancel the commission paid on an order that is cancelled or returned, and adjust commission payment on an order total that is later modified or reduced.
All commissions paid will be a specified percentage of a qualified referral net product subtotal (not including taxes or shipping charges, and after promotional discounts are applied).
The commission rate and cookie time period are outlined by us in the program details within the ShareASale platform. By applying as an affiliate within the Coverstore affiliate program, you agree to the commission rate and cookie time period as specified in the program terms at the time of application approval.
Coverstore reserves the right to increase, reduce, cancel, or redistribute commission payment for any referral generated in conjunction with referral or link clicks from other affiliates.
Coverstore may modify or update the commission structure at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you immediately and effective immediately. In the event that we modify or update the program terms, we will continue to pay commissions, as originally agreed, on qualified referrals with an order date prior to the program term change activation date.
Qualified referrals will be tracked and recorded utilizing the ShareASale technology. It is both your and our responsibility to immediately notify each other and ShareASale support of any known tracking or reporting errors and work to resolve the problem.
Orders placed over the phone with our customer service team, regardless of the cookie time period and last click, are not tracked via the ShareASale technology and are therefore not qualified referrals and not eligible for commission.
Commissions are paid via the ShareASale network platform. Coverstore is committed to prompt payment to our affiliates and will comply with ShareASale payment review and processing policies.
Coverstore reserves the right to reduce or cancel commission payment for any referral generated in violation of the program terms or this Agreement.
5. Special commission or bonus offers for affiliates
Coverstore may occasionally post special commission or bonus offers to the ShareASale network to support specific affiliate network sales goals within a specific time period. These offers are temporary in nature and may be modified or terminated at any time. In the event that a special commission or bonus offer is terminated early, Coverstore will notify you immediately. Commission or bonus offers will be paid on qualified referrals with an order date within the offer start date and either the offer end date or the date of offer change activation, whichever comes first.
Special commission or bonus offers are paid in the same way regular commissions are paid.

6. Promotions or special offers for customers
Coverstore will occasionally run on-site promotions, sales or discounts for its customers, and will often make affiliates aware of these promotions so that they can publish and promote the sales to their readership. These offers are temporary in nature and may be modified or terminated at any time. In the event that a promotion is terminated prior to the previously stated end date, Coverstore commits to making affiliates immediately aware of the change.
You agree not to publish or reveal the details of these promotions, discounts or sales to your readership prior to the start date of the promotion.
Coverstore reserves the right to require affiliates to modify or remove promotional messaging (within 24 hours of notice) that we decide is misleading, an exaggeration, or does not support the purpose of the promotion or the affiliate program.
Coverstore considers its affiliate program to be a marketing activity separate from other marketing activities and channels. Occasionally, Coverstore will offer an exclusive promotion intended for a specific customer group or publisher group. You agree to honor the promotions as intended, and only publish, mention, or promote special offers explicitly made known to you from Coverstore, intended for your readership, and in support of the affiliate program purpose.
We understand that customers may encounter multiple marketing touchpoints on their path to making a purchase. Coverstore reserves the right to reduce the commission rate for referrals generated using special promo codes or discounts that indicate that a customer interacted with other marketing activities or channels, or are a part of a customer group targeted with a specific promotion separate from the Coverstore affiliate program. Coverstore reserves the right to cancel commission payment for any order.
7. Social media & email newsletters
Any medium other than your site (including but not limited to social media accounts or email newsletter blasts) with which you intend to promote Coverstore must be listed within your program application (or in writing after application approval and 2 business days prior to promotion if accounts are activated after application approval).
You are not allowed to mention or feature Coverstore in any contests or sweepstakes without prior written approval from Coverstore.
Any qualified referral as a result of you promoting Coverstore on any medium other than your site is subject to this Agreement and the same program terms as your site.
8. Paid Search
You agree not to bid on the Coverstore brand name, trademarks, any common misspellings or similar trademarks, individually or as part of a phrase, on any pay-for-placement search engines or Facebook advertising. You also agree to not utilize, advertise or otherwise promote, any Coverstore terms in the headline or description copy associated with pay-for-placement search engines or in meta-tags, keywords, page titles or paid search engine advertising.

• Coverstore coupon
• Coverstore promo code
• Coverstore discount
• Coverstore sale
If you are currently using any of these trademarks or the word “Coverstore” or "the Cover Store" in any search engine positioning technique, you agree to end this practice prior to affiliate application approval.
You must link to your own landing page and not directly or indirectly (through a redirect, for example) to www.coverstore.com when using paid/natural search terms to promote Coverstore unless you have Coverstore’s prior written approval.
9. Branding
Beyond the use of creative assets as defined within this Agreement, you are solely responsible for the content on your site. You agree not to emulate the www.coverstore.com website, incorporate our trademark or logos not explicitly provided for the purpose of the Coverstore affiliate program, or create the impression that Coverstore endorses your site or the content and opinions within it.
You agree to adhere to the Coverstore branding guidelines by publishing only the official brand name, product names, and taglines. Any perceived misrepresentation of our products, brand, or site will be communicated to you, and you agree to rectify the offending post, message, or image within 24 hours notice.
You agree not to purchase Coverstore products with the intention of subsequent resale, or to aid any third party in doing so. You will engage in all Web best practices in the operation of your site and the presentation of qualified links.
10. Location
Currently Coverstore only accepts orders with a shipping address within the United States and Canada, and is therefore only accepting applications for affiliates who maintain a majority U.S.- or Canada-based readership. You agree to make Coverstore immediately aware if your majority readership skews outside of the U.S. or Canada.
11. Confidentiality
As part of Coverstore affiliate program, you may be made aware of certain aspects of our product planning, product development, business practices, and marketing strategies. You agree not to reveal this insider knowledge or any details of our affiliate program to any other affiliates not a part of the Coverstore affiliate program, your readership, our competitors, or other brands or partners you work with, both during our partnership and after the partnership has been terminated, beyond what is made public by Coverstore or information explicitly made available for the purpose of promoting Coverstore.
12. Violation of the Agreement
Coverstore is committed to a mutually beneficial business relationship with affiliates in its affiliate program, and we view compliance with this Agreement and our program terms as an important part of maintaining that relationship.
Coverstore will occasionally audit the on-site activity of our affiliates for compliance. Any perceived violations will be immediately communicated to you and the ShareASale support team, and you agree to rectify the violation within 24 hours of notice.
Coverstore reserves the right to terminate our partnership and remove you from our affiliate program at any time.
Coverstore reserves the right to cancel commission payments on referrals that originated from a violation of our program terms or this Agreement.
