Program Terms

Current Boutique Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

Effective Date:  December 1, 2025

These terms govern your participation in the Current Boutique Affiliate Program. We've written them in plain language to ensure clarity. By joining our program, you agree to these terms and are responsible for ensuring your employees, agents, and contractors comply as well.

1. PROGRAM ENROLLMENT

Application Review: We review all applications within 48 hours. While we reserve the right to decline any application, we encourage dialogue if you believe we've made an error.

Approval Requirements: List all websites/platforms you'll use to promote Current Boutique in your profile. Incomplete applications delay approval.

2. AFFILIATE WEBSITE & CONTENT STANDARDS

Your promotional properties must not:

  • Infringe on intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
  • Violate laws or regulations
  • Contain threatening, defamatory, obscene, or adult content
  • Contain malware, viruses, or deceptive code
  • Use technology that intercepts, diverts, or redirects traffic (including toolbars, browser extensions, or plugins)
  • Misrepresent your relationship with Current Boutique
3. LINKING REQUIREMENTS

Authorized Links Only: Use only unmodified tracking links provided through the Awin affiliate interface.

Domain Registration: All domains using your affiliate links must be listed in your affiliate profile.

Prohibited Practices:

  • Cookie stuffing or forced clicks
  • Pop-ups, pop-unders, or false/misleading links
  • Masking or manipulating referrer URLs
  • Framing our website or creating the impression your site is our site
  • Redirects designed to hide the true traffic source (same-domain "out" redirects are permitted)

Violation Consequence: Link manipulation results in commission forfeiture and potential commission rate reduction to 0%.

4. PAID SEARCH (PPC) POLICY

You may NOT:

  • Bid on our trademarked terms: "Current Boutique" or "currentboutique.com" (including variations, misspellings, or combined terms like "Current Boutique coupons")
  • Use our trademarks in ad titles, copy, display names, or display URLs
  • Direct link from PPC ads (links must go to actual content on your website)
  • Appear in positions 1-5 above Current Boutique's own ads

Automated Campaigns: You're responsible for excluding our trademarks and adding them as negative keywords.

Zero Tolerance: PPC trademark violations result in immediate forfeiture of minimum 30 days commissions and 0% commission rate without warning.

5. COUPON & DEAL AFFILIATE GUIDELINES

Authorized Codes Only: Promote only coupon codes provided through the affiliate program or official affiliate communications.

Prohibited Actions:

  • Posting workarounds to coupon restrictions
  • Using technology that hides/reveals codes to force clicks
  • Advertising codes from non-affiliate channels (email campaigns, paid search, etc.)
  • Misrepresenting ongoing site-wide offers as exclusive deals

Code Validation Requirement: Affiliates identified as coupon/deal sites may only receive commissions for sales using valid, trackable coupon codes. Invalid, expired, or non-specific codes may result in commission denial.

High-Visibility Adjustment: If your site ranks on Google page 1 for "[Current Boutique] + coupon/promo" terms or conversion rates exceed 25%, reduced commission rates may apply to maintain program profitability.

6. DOMAIN NAME RESTRICTIONS

You may NOT register domains containing our trademarks, including:

  • currentboutique[anything].com
  • [anything]-currentboutique.com
  • Any subdomain using our trademark
7. SOCIAL MEDIA & INFLUENCER MARKETING

Permitted:

  • Sharing affiliate links on your own social media profiles
  • Posting offers with proper disclosure (e.g., "25% off at Current Boutique with code SAVE25 #ad")

Prohibited:

  • Posting affiliate links on Current Boutique's official social media pages
  • Running paid social ads using "Current Boutique" trademark
  • Creating accounts with "Current Boutique" in the username or handle
  • Failing to include FTC-compliant disclosures
8. SUB-AFFILIATE NETWORKS

Sub-affiliate networks are permitted with full transparency about traffic sources. You're responsible for ensuring all sub-affiliates comply with these terms, including:

  • No toolbar/browser extension promotion
  • No PPC trademark bidding
  • Prior approval required for coupon sub-affiliates

Non-compliance may result in commission reduction or forfeiture.

9. EMAIL MARKETING

Pre-Approval Required: Submit email campaigns to us before sending or provide copies immediately after deployment.

Requirements:

  • Comply with CAN-SPAM Act and applicable privacy laws
  • Send emails on your behalf (not as Current Boutique)
  • Include proper unsubscribe mechanisms
  • Include FTC disclosure for affiliate relationships
10. FTC DISCLOSURE & COMPLIANCE

Disclosure Required: All affiliate link placements must include clear disclosure of the financial relationship.

Standards:

  • Place disclosures close to affiliate links and above the fold
  • Use clear language: "I earn a commission from purchases through this link" or similar
  • No pop-up disclosures
  • Disclose if you received free products for review

AI-Generated Content: If using AI tools to create content, ensure disclosures remain accurate and human-reviewed.

11. INTERNATIONAL COMPLIANCE

Affiliates operating outside the United States must comply with local laws, including GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), and other applicable privacy/marketing regulations.

12. COMMISSION REVERSALS

We reserve the right to reverse commissions for:

  • Order cancellations or returns
  • Fraudulent transactions or chargebacks
  • Duplicate tracking
  • Terms violations
  • Unsubstantiated traffic sources

Communication Expectations: If we request information about suspicious activity, you must respond promptly and honestly. Failure to respond, intentionally vague answers, or dishonesty may result in commission reversal, 0% rate, or program suspension.

13. PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify these terms, commission rates, or program structure with 30 days' notice to active affiliates. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of modifications.

14. TERMINATION

Either party may terminate the affiliate relationship at any time. Upon termination:

  • Remove all Current Boutique affiliate links within 48 hours
  • Commissions earned prior to termination remain payable per standard terms
  • Unpaid commissions from terms violations are forfeited
