Paid Search Policy:
The Salomon program has a closed PPC policy. Affiliates are not permitted to use Salomon.com or any other Salomon URL as a display URL in any paid search listings. Salomon does not allow affiliates to bid on any brand name or terms, including any misspellings, variations or derivatives. Affiliates are not permitted to bid on phrases which include both brand terms and generic keywords. Affiliates are not permitted to include any brand terms, misspellings, variations or derivatives in any search string or display URL on any pay-per-click search engines (including, but not limited to, Google AdWords, Google Content Network, Yahoo, Overture, Miva, Mirago, Bing, AOL search, 7Search etc.). Examples of prohibited terms include but are not limited to: Salomon, salomonstore, salomon.co.uk salomon.com, salomon store, salomon clothing, salomon shoes, salomon trail, salomon snow, salomon footwear, salomon trainers, etc.
The use of any of the above search terms as either a keyword or in the display URL of any PPC advert is prohibited. To ensure that you do not appear for any search strings that include the Salomon brand name, please make sure the following terms are negatively matched in all PPC campaigns: salomon, salomonstore, salomon.com, salomon.co.uk. Salomon trademarks must not be used as a subdomain or subfolder on any display URL in paid search listings. For example: www.salomon.mywebsite.com www.mywebsite.com/salomon. Anyone found infringing these terms will be contacted by the Salomon Affiliate Team. Affiliates found to be breaching the programme terms and conditions may have their commissions declined and will face suspension from the programme. In extreme circumstances, Salomon reserves the right to immediately suspend any affiliates found breaching these terms and conditions and decline any commissions accrued from the activity.
Discount Codes
Affiliates may only promote codes that are provided through the Advertiser’s affiliate marketing programme (either through the Advertiser’s account or directly from the Advertiser’s Affiliate Manager) (“Authorised Code(s)”).
Advertiser reserves the right to withhold payment of commission if unauthorised voucher, coupon, channel or other applicable types of codes are used in an Affiliate sale. We appreciate that consumers may use codes that they have found via a site other than that which is awarded the sale, however, sales made using any unauthorised codes will be fully investigated by the Advertiser. Any decision made by the Advertiser with respect to the payment of commission to an Affiliate will be final. If an Affiliate is in any doubt as to whether a code is an Authorised Code, they should contact the Advertiser before promoting such code. Any Affiliate found to be displaying unauthorised codes may have their commission set to zero until such code(s) are removed.
Where voucher/coupon codes are issued with an expiration date, this should be clearly displayed, and codes should be removed or explicitly marked as expired after this due date unless you are advised otherwise. Affiliates displaying expired codes without marking them as expired may be suspended from the programme. Please also ensure that you follow the IAB voucher code best practice guidelines.
