Sim Local will pay you up to 20% on all full price sales generated through its affiliate program. There is a 30-day cookie length on the Sim Local programme.
Voucher Codes
Affiliates may only promote codes that are provided through the Sim Local affiliate programme (either by AWIN or Sim Local).
Sim Local reserves the right to withhold payment of commission if affiliates promote an unauthorised voucher code. Any affiliate found to be displaying unauthorised codes may also have their commission set to zero until the code(s) are removed.
Where voucher codes are issued with an expiry date this should be clearly displayed, and codes should be removed or explicitly marked as expired after this date unless you are advised otherwise. Any affiliates displaying expired codes without marking them as being expired may be suspended from the programme. Please also ensure that you observe the IAB voucher code best practice guidelines.
Affiliate PPC Guidelines
Sim Local operates a strict policy on Paid Search activity including, but not limited to, search engines, advertising networks and social media placements. We do not allow paid search activity of any kind without the consent of Sim Local. Persistent breach of this may result in commissions being declined and potentially being suspended from the programme.
Keywords
In order to avoid any keyword matching issues, affiliates must add the following keywords as negative broad match to any and allPaid Search activity:
simlocal.com
simlocal voucher code
URL and Ad Copy Restrictions
Any copy must be written from a third party promoting Sim Local. For example an affiliate should not say ‘Our products’ and all search copy must contain correct product details such as price and speed.
Search entries should not appear to have come from Sim Local directly.
Affiliates cannot use the brand name within their domain name e.g. www.simlocal-affiliatesite.co.uk
However affiliates can use Sim Local in their subdomain or directory folder e.g. www.affiliate.com/simlocal
There may be some exceptions with the way in which the term Sim Local is used within domains, however you must have prior consent.

Launches
There will be select high profile launches that Sim Local will not pay any commission on. These will be communicated by Awin through the new manager within 24 hours of the product releasing. Please ensure you are subscribed to receive these emails. No launch products should be communicated by affiliates unless communicated by Awin or Sim Local. Any products promoted before the launch time communicated will result in removal of the affiliate.
Sim Local have the right to cancel any commissions from sales they believe have breached these terms.
We do not allow affiliates to scrape the site for product. All affiliates must use the feeds provided as a means of accessing programme terms.
Branding Guidelines
The affiliate website must display its own branding / logo to emphasise that it is a third party website endorsing Sim Local. Attempts to imitate or replicate our own website are not acceptable and will not be approved by us. The customer must understand that they are on a third party website not belonging to Sim Local. Do not give the customer the impression that they are on an Sim Local owned website. The affiliate must not claim to be an ‘official’ Sim Local website or make any other similar claims.
Creative Restrictions
Only creative/logo provided can be used to promote Sim Local. These can be picked up from your network interface; affiliates must not hardcode creative/logo. If you want to build your own creative this has to approved by SIm Local before it can be used. Please send this to the account manager for sign off.
Use of Email Affiliates
If you wish to engage in any email activity please seek prior permission from Sim Local.
Affiliates must not promote Sim Local through means of a customer downloaded application that interrupts the sales journey, without securing opt in from Sim Local. Examples of this are rebate catching tools which alert the user when they land on the merchant website that discounts or cashback are available. If you are in any doubt about whether your application is acceptable or not, please contact your account manager.
Emails and newsletters must be sent to us for approval and must not be sent out until approved. It also needs to be clear that the newsletter is sent by a third party endorsing Sim Local and not Sim Local itself.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in full or partial reversals of commission and/or removal from the program. If you have any questions or requests regarding our terms & conditions, please contact your account manager.
Use of Exclusive Offers/Voucher Codes
Affiliates are not allowed to use a voucher code unless it has been specifically provided to them. Unauthorised use of voucher codes or offers may result in commissions being reversed’
Only Sim Local Approved Publishers may Sell Sim Local Products via Call Centres
Without express permission to sell to customers over the phone, any publisher found engaging in this activity will be immediately removed from the programme and their commission's will be declined.
Possible Fraudulent Activity
Any new or dormant affiliate starting/restarting activity and driving an abnormal number of sales/traffic/conversion rate within a period of time, without prior discussion with Sim Local, will be suspended immediately pending investigation. Full visibility needs to be provided on all traffic sources and marketing activity prior to starting any promotional activity on the Sim Local programme.

Toolbar Affiliates
Sim Local does not work with toolbar affiliates, or allow any affiliates to publish or promote Sim Local offers in toolbars or other pop-ups, whether they effect the Sim Local customer on-site journey or not, unless given explicit, written permission by the Sim Local affiliate team
