You (“Publisher”) must comply with these Program Terms (the “Terms”) on all pages where Credit Karma products or services are shown or referenced, as well as all landing pages and other pages that lead to pages where Credit Karma products or services are shown or referenced. These terms are intended to govern your activities as a Publisher working with Credit Karma through the affiliate marketing platform, Awin.
These Terms are subject to change at any time by Credit Karma. Any and all approvals or other decisions made by Credit Karma under these Terms shall be made in Credit Karma’s sole discretion. The requirements set forth herein are intended to supplement, not replace, any other standards, requirements, or obligations to which you are subject including, but not limited to, other program terms and your obligation to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
You must agree to abide by these Terms in order to participate. By signing up, you indicate your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use Awin to participate as a Publisher for Credit Karma.
1. Approval
a. Any Publisher who is publishing sponsored content must have the content approved by Credit Karma before publishing & must remain available for any edits to the content post-publishing. You shall not publish or distribute any written material that makes reference to Credit Karma without first submitting such material to us and receiving our prior written consent.
b. Articles and editorial content. Publisher shall not modify Credit Karma-approved content without prior written approval.
c. Banner ads. Certain pre-approved creative assets are available to Publishers via the Awin platform. Publisher shall not modify, crop, or re-size any finished materials without prior written approval of Credit Karma.
d. Updates and Takedowns. Credit Karma may request in its sole discretion edits or other updates to any published materials, and upon notice, you will promptly carry out such requests. Credit Karma may also require takedowns of published content in its sole discretion, and you will promptly take down the material on receipt of request.
2. Content Requirements
a. Any page containing our links, banners, or codes must be written in English
b. Publishers must always state honest beliefs, opinions, or experiences with Credit Karma. All statements about Credit Karma must be truthful and substantiated.
c. You agree to adhere to the FTC Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, under which you can be held liable for false or misleading statements made in connection with your endorsement of Credit Karma or its products.
d. You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your relationship with Credit Karma in anything you publish. This means you must disclose that you may receive a benefit for a successful referral.
e. Publishers will not display advertisements of competitors’ brands on the same page as Credit Karma advertisements.
3. Technical Details
a. For terms related to Pay Per Click activity, see the “PPC” tab on Credit Karma’s Awin profile.
b. Upon acceptance into the Program, links will be made available to you through the Awin platform. You agree that you will only use the linking code obtained from Awin, without manipulation. Please ensure that all domains where you use our link are listed in your Awin profile.
c. Publishers shall not:
i. Place any creative in a "Desktop" advertising scheme. This includes any and all 3rd party advertising platforms that use a desktop application to display ads in any form.
ii. Make use of pop-ups, pop-unders, cookie stuffing, false/misleading links, or any other format that is deemed intrusive.
iii. Attempt to mask referring url information (i.e. the page from where the click is originating).
4. Trademarks, Domain Names
a. The following activities are not permitted:
i. Trademark bidding
ii. Using any Credit Karma brand terms or trademarks in the sub folder of the display URL (e.g., www.affiliate.com/creditkarma)
iii. Using any Credit Karma brand terms or trademarks in the sub domain of the display URL (e.g., www.creditkarma.affiliate.com)
iv. Any form of advertising as the Credit Karma brand.
b. Affiliates are not allowed to buy, register or create domains or subdomains which may lead users to believe that such site is a Credit Karma brand website.
c. Publisher’s website will not in any way copy, resemble, or mirror the look and feel of Credit Karma’s website.
5. Miscellaneous
a. Credit Karma content shall not be published on any site that contains obscene language or promotes adult content, violence, or the use of firearms.
b. We do not allow marketing via email, SMS, social media, or any other marketing channel that Credit Karma has not explicitly authorized in writing.
c. Failure to abide by these Terms may result in Credit Karma’s immediate termination of your participation as a Publisher and forfeiture of any and all commissions.
