Program Terms

1. Overview

Outdoor Fellow values its affiliate partners and is committed to fair, transparent, and respectful collaboration. These terms are designed to protect both our brand and our partners while ensuring a high-quality experience for customers.

By joining the Outdoor Fellow Affiliate Program via Awin, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

 

2. Eligibility & Approval

Affiliate applications are reviewed and approved at Outdoor Fellow’s discretion. We reserve the right to reject or remove any affiliate at any time if a partner’s promotional methods or content are deemed unsuitable.

Affiliates may not:
• Promote illegal, misleading, discriminatory, or explicit content
• Misrepresent Outdoor Fellow or imply official partnership or ownership
• Use Outdoor Fellow trademarks, brand names, or misspellings in domain names
• Create sites or ads that mimic Outdoor Fellow’s website or branding

 

3. Commission Structure

Commission rates may vary by affiliate type, commission group, promotional period, or order composition, including but not limited to:
• Content / editorial affiliates
• Influencer / creator partners
• Coupon, cashback, and loyalty partners

Outdoor Fellow reserves the right to:
• Adjust commission rates by affiliate group
• Limit commission eligibility on certain products or promotions
• Offer temporary or performance-based commission increases

Commission eligibility is determined by Outdoor Fellow and tracked via Awin.

 

4. Coupon, Cashback & Loyalty Partner Policy

Affiliates classified as coupon, cashback, or loyalty partners must adhere to the following rules:
• Only approved and explicitly provided promotional codes may be advertised
• Unauthorized codes, “found a code” messaging, or code scraping is prohibited
• Commission is only eligible when a valid, approved code is used
• Commission may be reduced or excluded on:
• Refill-only orders
• Gift cards
• Orders already discounted beyond standard promotions

Outdoor Fellow reserves the right to retroactively adjust or withhold commission for violations of this policy.

 

5. Paid Search (PPC) Policy

Affiliates may not bid on:
• “Outdoor Fellow”
• “OutdoorFellow”
• “OutdoorFellow.com”
• Brand misspellings
• Product or scent names (e.g., Tomato Vine, Campfire)

Affiliates must add Outdoor Fellow brand terms as negative keywords in all paid search campaigns unless prior written authorization is provided.

Trademark violations may result in immediate removal from the program.

 

6. Promotional Conduct

Affiliates must:
• Clearly represent themselves as independent from Outdoor Fellow
• Avoid misleading claims or unapproved product descriptions
• Comply with all applicable advertising, email, and privacy laws

The following are strictly prohibited:
• Cookie stuffing or forced clicks
• Toolbar installations, browser extensions, or software that overwrites tracking
• Pop-ups, pop-unders, or redirects that interfere with the user journey
• Interstitials or hidden placements that trigger tracking without intent

 

7. Intellectual Property

Affiliates may use Outdoor Fellow’s approved logos, trademarks, and creative assets solely for the purpose of promoting the brand through approved affiliate links.

All goodwill generated through use of these materials remains the sole property of Outdoor Fellow.

 

8. Monitoring & Enforcement

Outdoor Fellow reserves the right to:
• Monitor affiliate activity and placements
• Request changes to promotional methods or content
• Suspend or terminate affiliates for policy violations or abuse

Fraudulent or abusive activity may result in forfeiture of unpaid commissions.

 

9. Termination

Either party may terminate participation in the program at any time, with or without cause. Termination may be immediate in cases of policy violation or fraudulent behavior.

 

10. Payment & Tracking

All tracking and payments are managed through Awin. Affiliates are responsible for complying with Awin’s payment terms and requirements.

 

11. Legal & Miscellaneous
• Affiliates operate as independent contractors
• This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York
• Outdoor Fellow’s liability is limited to commissions paid under this program
• This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between both parties
