As an affiliate, by applying to join the The Towel Shop affiliate programme, you are agreeing to adhere to the following terms and conditions. Any breach of our terms and conditions may result in exclusion from the The Towel Shop affiliate programme and reversal of commissions where deemed appropriate at our discretion. Our default commission is 4% for all publishers.
Paid Search & Branding Restrictions
Affiliates may not register or bid on our brand terms or combined brand terms on any search engine (such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, MSN etc). These terms include (but are not limited to) “thetowelshop.co.uk”, “The Towel Shop”, “TheTowelShop”, “Towel Shop” and other derivatives including (but not limited to) misspellings and incomplete terms such as “The Twoel Shop” or “The Tow Shop”. Affiliates may not bid on generic terms either.
Domain Restrictions:
Affiliates are not permitted to register URLs with The Towel Shop’s trademarked terms or any misspellings or reformulations contained in their domain.
Any affiliate purchasing such domain names will immediately and permanently be removed from the affiliate programme and any commissions due will be reversed. We reserve all rights to reclaim any such domain names that are registered by an affiliate back from the registrant. You consent to this by agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Brand terms may, however be contained within the subdomain e.g:
www.affiliate.com/thetowelshop.co.uk - Allowed
www.affiliate-thetowelshop.co.uk - NOT Allowed
Use of Voucher Codes & Restrictions
The Towel Shop reserves the right to suspend publishers and disapprove commission payments if unauthorised coupon codes are used for an affiliate sale.
All Affiliates that use voucher codes MUST adhere to the IAB Voucher Code of Conduct: http://www.iabuk.net/news/iab-amc
Affiliates may only promote voucher codes provided through The Towel Shop’s affiliate programme which can be found on the Affiliate Window interface.
Affiliates may not use voucher codes intended for other channels
Affiliates may not make up / invent their own voucher codes. This will lead to an immediate suspension from our programme and any due commissions will not be paid out.
Voucher codes must explicitly state the activation date and an expiry date and codes should be removed or marked as expired once the date has passed.
Using 'Click to Reveal' when there is no valid or current code present is not permitted of affiliate publishers including using 'Click to Reveal' to show any deals/offers/sales instead of vouchers.
Voucher code affiliate publishers must clearly detail the voucher offer that will be revealed by the click.
Cashback Sites
Cashback sites will still earn the default 4% commission. Any cancelled or non-collected orders will be invalidated within a 2 week period and will result in non-payment of commission.
Email Marketing
Affiliates are permitted to send emails to their databases however, The Towel Shop branding restrictions and guidelines must be adhered to. For more information or guidance please get in touch at: ttssearlcooutreach@gmail.com
Social Media
Affiliates may feature The Towel Shop on social media platforms however, branding restrictions and guidelines must be adhered to. The Towel Shop brand should not be used in any way to register accounts on social media or via any other channel. Affiliates must never speak ‘as’ or ‘for’ the brand. They may only speak ‘about’ or ‘promote’ the brand or our products.
Software Applications
Due to the varying nature of software application affiliates, approval onto the programme will be determined on an individual case by case basis.
Creatives
Affiliates may not alter any creatives available through the Affiliate Window interface. Affiliates are also requested not to hardcode banners into their sites so updates made to those available through Affiliate Window may take immediate effect. If your site requires that banners are hardcoded, please contact the account management team to obtain permission before putting this in place. This will allow us to contact you whenever updates are necessary.
