Terms and Conditions

As a MedExpress affiliate partner, you are required to adhere to our terms and agree to comply with our regulations to ensure the safe promotion of medical services. Below is a guide to our terms: 


Affiliate Payment

  • You will earn for every paid and approved order made using your exclusive affiliate code for our weight loss program
  • An approved order undergoes independent review by our clinical team to ensure customer eligibility.

    Affiliate Compliance


You can only share your affiliate code to promote MedExpress weight loss solutions, it may not be used to promote anything else.

You must share all social profiles and channels where you will promote MedExpress’ services

You must comply with advertising regulations:

  • Do not mention Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) such as GLP-1s, Mounjaro, WeGovy, Ozempic in content, hashtags, your account handle, or description when promoting MedExpress.
  • You must focus on promoting our weight loss programme/service/solutions without specific mention to your medication.

    This is in line with UK advertising regulations and UK laws which prohibits advertising Prescription Only Medicines to the public, any violation of these laws will result in corrective action. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is the governing body responsible for enforcing these regulations and they may choose to prosecute any legal breaches.For further information on advertising regulations, please refer to the MHRA Blue Guide.


Affiliate Non-Compliance

  • Non-compliant content, accounts, and publishers will be notified of the compliance breach and given 12 hours to rectify the issue.
    If the issue is not rectified or the participating member does not wish to rectify the issue, this will result in removal from the programme and suspension of payment during the non-compliant period.

    We are committed to creating a community that shares safe and transparent content to support others on their journey. We understand that it can be difficult to know what is compliant/not, we are here to help you at any stage during your time on our programme. Please reach out to us if you are unsure at any point in regards to content compliance.


Compliance Guidelines

Here are the key DOs and DON’Ts to help you promote MedExpress responsibly:


DO’s

✅ Focus on the MedExpress Service

  • Talk about MedExpress as a trusted platform for accessing weight-loss services.
  • Use phrases like:
    • “MedExpress offers online weight-loss services tailored to you.”
    • “Explore convenient, expert-led weight-loss treatments through MedExpress.”

✅ Highlight Convenience and Confidentiality

  • Emphasise that the service is easy, discreet, and secure.
    • “Access confidential weight-loss support from the comfort of your home.”

✅ Include a Call-to-Action

  • Direct users to use your code
    • “Visit MedExpress to learn more about professional weight-loss services and use code XXX at checkout.”

✅ Use Clear Disclosure

  • Always include:
    • “Ad – Affiliate” in the description.
    • #affmedexpress

      DON’Ts

      🚫Do Not Mention Drug Names or GLP-1s
  • It is illegal in the UK to promote prescription only medicine. Do not reference any branded medication or active drug, such as “Mounjaro” or “GLP-1s”. For example:  
    • Don't say "Get Mounjaro for £40 OFF"
    • Don't say "Get £40 OFF GLP1’s"
  • This includes use in hashtags within content such as #mounjaro 
  • This includes any abbreviations/adaptations such as “MJ”
  • This encompasses your social media handle, description, and MedExpress content

    🚫Your account name or account description must not reference drug names 

Examples: 

  • Do not have mounjaro_xx as your username
  • Do not have ‘mounjaro journey’ in your description
  • This includes any abbreviations/adaptations such as “MJ”
     

🚫Do not compare offer prices for different suppliers while using the MedExpress code or discuss price matching alongside code usage. 

  • Don’t say get mounjaro for £XXX at Medexpress or mounjaro for XXX at ‘example pharmacy’ 
     

🚫Do not indirectly references GLP-1s

  • Do not mention phrases such as “jabs”, “pen” in content
  • Do not mention ‘mg’ or dose % such as ‘5/5mg’ 
     
    🚫Do Not Show Injections within content 
  • The laws around promoting prescription only medicine also apply to images shown in content. For example:
  • Do not include any content where you show yourself or others administering the injection
  • Do not show the packaging with product names visible.
  • Do not use the 💉 emojis 

    🚫 Do Not Use the Word “Prescription”
  • We offer a range of prescription and non-prescription options so do not suggest users can access prescription medications. For example: 
    • Don’t say: “Get a prescription from MedExpress.”

      🚫Do Not Guarantee Results
  • Do not make  any claims about guaranteed weight loss or quick results. For example:
    • Don’t say: “Lose weight within X weeks on MedExpress.”

      🚫Do Not Use Overly Medical or Diagnostic Language
  • Don’t say: “MedExpress diagnoses and treats [condition].”
