“Leonardo Hotels Brands”: Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal, Royal Hotels, NYX Hotels, ... and any other brand or registered trademark used by Fattal Hotels Group.
1. Our conditions of participation
a) Affiliates should be informed that we are keen to work with as many interested partners as possible in order to grow our affiliate programmes online - but that there are some content subjects that are likely to cause their website to be rejected from the programme. Content that is likely to be rejected includes the below - but it should be noted that this list is not exhaustive:
- violent or graphic imagery
- content and imagery of an overt sexual nature
- highly political or biased material
- content that includes the use of foul language
b) Without prejudice, the Leonardo Hotels will seek to partner with websites with strong and well laid-out content - and some partners may be rejected if it is felt that the website is not well assembled and a good user experience to potential the Leonardo Hotels customers.
c) Advertising materials: Affiliates may only use advertising materials that are provided via AWIN.
d) Setting a cookie without a prior active click by the user is not permitted. Simply displaying an advertisement or calling up the homepage in a layer or a comparable InAd does not authorize the setting of the cookie. Applying via browser plugins is not permitted. Post view providers can receive separate approval after consultation.
e) Commissions: Please note we only except bookings online and will only pay commission to bookings made online and not via our central booking team via the telephone or any other booking channel.
Please also note we will not pay commission on closed group rate codes e.g Friends and Family rate code.
f) Affiliates have to comply with the Codes of Conduct of the German Advertising Standards Council and European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA).
g) Any Leonardo Hotels’ content is not directed to children.
h) Self-Sales Restriction: Affiliates do not receive commissions for purchases/hotel bookings made in their own name and via their own affiliate links. This includes any transactions made by the affiliate, their family members, or anyone closely connected to them. Violating this rule may result in loss of commissions and removal from the affiliate program.
2. Guidelines for voucher & couponing publishers
a) All partners promoting any of Leonardo Hotels' brands should adhere to the IAB Code of Conduct when using voucher codes.
b) Affiliates are asked to only publish voucher codes that are made available via AWIN. We cannot guarantee that commissions will be paid for codes that have not been authorized for the affiliate channel.
c) Expired vouchers must be deleted - a mere note “expired” or similar is not sufficient.
3. Guidelines for Search Engine Marketing / PPC
a) Affiliates are advised that further PPC activity from affiliates is not something the Leonardo Hotels are pursuing at the present time.
b) Therefore, please ensure that you are not promoting the Leonardo Hotels brands via PPC activity. This includes any brand+generic and brand+discount voucher activity.
c) SEM/PPC is not permitted without prior approval! PPC activity is monitored by Leonardo Hotels. Any affiliate found in contravention of this is likely to be removed from the programme without warning and have pending commissions rejected.
d) SEM/PPC is only permitted after consultation and only to a limited extent:
- Generic keywords: Leonardo Hotels affiliates are welcome to bid on generic keywords.
- Using the Leonardo Hotels brand in PPC ads: You may not refer to any Leonardo Hotels Brands in the title or body of your advertising.
- Direct linking: Direct linking to www. leonardo-hotels.com; www.leonardo-hotels.de; www.leonardo-hotels.es; www.leonardo-hotels.nl; www.leonardo-hotels.it; www.leonardo-hotels.fr; www.leonardo-hotels.pl; www.leonardo-hotels.ru is strictly forbidden, as is the use of URL redirection to the Leonardo Hotels site.
- Brand bidding: Brand bidding is prohibited. This includes misspellings and variations of Leonardo Hotels Brands.
- Bidding on specific hotels: Bidding on specific hotel names (and variations) is also forbidden.
4. Guidelines for Display Publishers
Any affiliates that promote the Leonardo Hotels Brands via display are responsible for their activity, regardless of whether they own the websites on which they are promoting the Leonardo Hotels Brands. The Leonardo Hotels reserve the rights to withhold commissions if the affiliate breaches the Leonardo Hotels terms and conditions.
5. Guidelines for Social Media
a) Applying via social media is generally allowed.
b) Affiliates are not permitted to advertise their own websites by posting on Leonardo Hotels official Facebook walls.
c) Affiliates are not permitted to pose as Leonardo Hotels on any social media platform.
d) Affiliates are permitted to advertise Leonardo Hotels Brands on their own branded social pages.
6. Data Protection and Consent
The Affiliate will not do or omit to do any act which may cause Leonardo Hotels to be in breach of any of its obligations under the applicable Data Regulations, including GDPR.
The Affiliate will to comply with GDPR and ePrivacy obtain the prior, freely-given, specific, informed, unambiguous and revocable consent of visitors cookies or other tracking technologies.
Violation of the above terms and guidelines may result in immediate exclusion from the affiliate program.
