Lighting Design – Branding Guidelines

These guidelines ensure that all communications, visuals, and promotions reflect Lighting Design’s identity consistently and professionally.

1. Brand Voice & Tone

Professional yet warm – Inspire trust while remaining approachable.

Sophisticated & stylish – Reflect modern design and premium quality.

Inspirational – Position Lighting Design as a source of ideas and expertise, not just products.

Clear & solution-oriented – Help customers find the perfect lighting for their home, avoiding overly technical jargon.

Example Voice:
“Transform your space with timeless lighting that blends function with style.”

2. Logo Usage

Always use the official Lighting Design logo provided by the brand.

Maintain clear space around the logo (at least the height of the “L” in Lighting).

Do not alter colors, stretch, or overlay on busy backgrounds.

Use black or white versions for simple placement; use full-color only on neutral backgrounds.

3. Color Palette (Suggested)

Primary: Light Blue (#ADBBBE), Charcoal Gray (#404040)

Secondary: Tan (#F2EFEB), Gray (#A69F94)

This palette reflects sophistication, warmth, and modern design.

4. Typography (Suggested)

Headlines: A modern serif font (e.g., Playfair Display, Cormorant Garamond) for elegance.

Body Text: Clean sans-serif (e.g., Lato, Helvetica Neue, or Poppins) for readability.

Tone in Copy: Use sentence case for clarity; avoid all caps except for small headings or CTAs.

5. Photography & Visual Style

Use high-quality lifestyle photography – showcase lighting in real, styled spaces.

Lighting should be on in photos, creating warmth and ambiance.

Prefer modern, coastal, transitional, and timeless settings over overly minimal or industrial-only shots.

Avoid overly cluttered spaces; lighting should be the focal point.

6. Messaging Guidelines

Core brand messages should reinforce:

Expertise: “Your trusted partner in lighting design.”

Inspiration: “Lighting that transforms your space.”

Quality & Style: “Premium fixtures for every room and lifestyle.”

Service: “We help you choose lighting that makes your home shine.”

7. Digital Guidelines

Social Media: Use warm, inspirational captions with calls to action (e.g., “Find the perfect pendant for your kitchen →”).

Email Marketing: Clean layouts, plenty of white space, hero product images, and short, engaging copy.

Website Consistency: Colors, fonts, and imagery should align with the above brand look & feel.

8. Affiliate & Partner Guidelines

Always use approved images, logos, and text links provided by Lighting Design.

Do not create unauthorized promotions, discounts, or coupon codes.

Product descriptions must remain accurate and true to Lighting Design’s listings.

When writing content, focus on inspiration, quality, and trustworthiness.
