TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PUBLISHERS
Decathlon Sports Ireland Limited (“Decathlon” or “Decathlon Ireland”), registered at Margaret's Road, Ballymun, Dublin, Ireland, registration number 589659, is a private limited company whose main objective is to make sports accessible to everyone and allow as many people as possible to enjoy sports.
Decathlon puts innovation at the heart of its activities – from research, design, design, production and logistics, to sales. At Decathlon Ireland, we offer products from our Passion Brands who design functional, attractive and uncomplicated sports products at the lowest possible prices. With these products available exclusively from Decathlon, the company targets passionate athletes − from beginners to advanced.
In order to achieve these goals, Decathlon values a very close exchange with athletes.
The purpose of this agreement is to make the Decathlon Partnership Program framework known to an affiliate. A partnership takes effect upon unlocking the partner's application to the program.
Affiliate Program Objectives :
- Increase the sales through product related links, Decathlon content, logo and brand exposure.
- Increase qualified and relevant traffic based on our brand, products and services offered and seasonality or theme.
- Increase brand visibility through appropriate brand context.
There are many reasons to join our affiliate team, but we will highlight the most important ones:
Quality & Price:
Decathlon strives to provide you with technicality and quality at lower prices. We are able to continually lower the price of our products because we are creators, producers and distributors of sports products designed from exclusive components. With more than 1647 stores worldwide, we produce on a large scale and continuously optimize our organization to reduce costs and thus lower prices without ever compromising on quality.
Selection:
At Decathlon Ireland we offer over 70 different sports both online and in store. For our online Affiliates, we have a selection of products available to earn commissions with a range of different sports and categories available.
We have a very competitive commission of up to 6%, with a 1% baseline.
Collaborative efforts:
We are open to many options to generate quality content online.
We also have a wide selection of imagery, video and blog materials available for affiliates to use and repurpose.
Competitive Affiliate commissions:
1-6% CPV initial value for each generated sale
Updated product feed for affiliate use with seasonal products.

What kind of affiliates are we looking for?
We are looking for affiliates for our program of the following types:
- content portals
- Bloggers
- Display / redirect
- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, etc.)
Some of the criteria for validating applications are:
- Sites with updated and qualitative content.
- Website design and appearance.
- Affiliate traffic sources.
- Sport related topics.
Restrictions within the scope of the program: Affiliates may only use materials and promotions made available through the Awin platform, or via Decathlon Ireland. Otherwise, sales will not be validated.

We care about your feedback on our program, so we invite you to contact us to let us know about any aspect that could be improved on any topic that could take our program to the next level or to resolve any queries.
The following conditions apply to the Partnership Program:
1. Obligations
The Affiliate undertakes:
- not to publish advertising material in the context of illegal, violent, racist or pornographic content, as well as not to advertise on or through file-sharing portals, Warez sites, Adware and forced-click programs;
- design your advertising environment in compliance with the legal regulations currently in force;
- cooperate with DECATHLON for the successful delivery of the Partnership Program.
These are the essential obligations of the Affiliate, as they protect Decathlon's reputation and image.
In addition, reference is made to the program conditions described in Awin regarding search, transactions, branding, deadlines, publisher and deduplication that must be met by the Affiliate.
If the Affiliate breaches any of these or similar obligations, Decathlon may demand compensation with a 7 day notice period on suspension of the partnership.
2. Cookies
Cookies can only be set when the user actually clicks on the advertising material provided. It is not allowed to place cookies on top of the cursor or click on the “close” button. Inserting cookies through an invisible advertising medium or hidden loading of the decathlon.ie website is prohibited. This means that in this context, pop-ups, pop-unders, frames, IFrames or layers that define a cookie cannot be used without user intervention.
3. Websites
The advertising material provided can only be integrated into authorized URL addresses. Use on other websites requires prior registration and approval.
4. Advertising on search engines and social networks
The following conditions apply to advertising on search engines as well as advertisements on social networks: the reservation of the keywords “DECATHLON”, “Decathlon Ireland”, as well as spelling errors or combinations thereof is not allowed (or the option “Broad match” must be considered and adapted!). It is also not allowed to reserve keywords with Decathlon own brands, which must be verified by the Affiliate. In addition, these keywords cannot appear in the ad's text, title or URL address. Direct links to the decathlon.ie offer are also not allowed.
No PPC activity, CSS activity or Browser Extensions to cannibalise publisher sales will be authorised.
5. Product data
Product data can only be used within the scope of this partnership for own websites / price comparison. Product data may not be used in any way to search for Google products or the like.
6. Advertising media and Intellectual property rights
6.1 Advertising media
In principle, only advertising material provided for this partnership by Decathlon may be used. Advertising material on its own can only be used if it has been proven to be accepted and approved by Decathlon.
6.2 Intellectual property rights
Decathlon hereby grants to the Affiliate a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence within Ireland territory to publish the Advertising Materials and to use the Advertising Materials to market Decathlon and its products; provided, however, that the Affiliate will not alter any of the intellectual property rights and/or advertising materials from the form provided by Decathlon (except to resize it to the extent necessary for presentation, so long as the relative proportions of such intellectual property rights and/or advertising materials remain the same). In addition, the Affiliate will comply with the potential removal requests of Decathlon as to the use of such intellectual property rights and/or advertising materials.
The Affiliate undertakes to refrain from using the intellectual property rights of Decathlon in favour of any other third party. Any intentional unauthorized use would be considered as an act constituting infringement. The Affiliate acknowledges that it will not acquire any rights in respect of the intellectual property rights of Decathlon in relation to the products and the Advertising Materials as all those rights and goodwill are, and will remain, vested in Decathlon or its licensors (as the case may be).
7. Voucher Guidelines
Only vouchers/vouchers that have been expressly issued to the respective Affiliate within the scope of the Partnership Program can be made available. Vouchers cannot be advertised in any way that is not communicated by Decathlon through the Affiliate network.
8. Price regulation
The Affiliate undertakes to present the base price. This must be indicated by kg, l, m, m2 or m3.
The base price must be displayed next to the total price and it must be possible to see the total and base prices together. This is essential. They must also be indicated on the detailed description and product summary pages and/or elsewhere in the online store where prices are indicated.
It is not enough to indicate the base price only in the general description of the product, which can only be reached by clicking on the product.
9. Confidentiality
The Affiliate will treat the information received with confidentiality and will only use it within the scope of the Affiliate Program. The same does not apply to information already available to the public. Any other use is prohibited and requires the Affiliate to pay compensation.
10. Changes to the General Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to amend, shorten or supplement these General Terms and Conditions. These changes may also result from changes, new conditions or restrictions in the Affiliate network. Decathlon will not provide any information here. The Affiliate can consult the current conditions in the Affiliate Program at any time.
11. Responsibility
If Decathlon unilaterally determines that the Affiliate violates any rights, laws or policies of third parties, it may immediately terminate the Affiliate Program and stop the advertising activities in question, until the allegations are clarified, without any liability to the Affiliate.
The Affiliate is responsible for its services and indemnifies Decathlon against any third-party claims.
Others
Decathlon expressly refers the Affiliate to the information and obligations provided on the network and which the Affiliate must comply with at all times.
If a provision of these General Terms and Conditions is invalid, the rest will remain unchanged. The invalid provision will be considered replaced by a provision that is closest to the meaning and economic purpose of the ineffective provision in a judicially effective manner. The same applies to any regulatory gaps.
These General Terms and Conditions shall be regulated by the laws of Ireland. The exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising directly or indirectly from the contractual relationship is Dublin, Ireland
