Affiliate PPC Policy

To ensure brand integrity, avoid bidding conflicts, and promote fair use of paid search, affiliates participating in our program must adhere to the following Paid Search (PPC) Advertising Policy:

🚫 Prohibited Practices

Affiliates are not permitted to:

  • Bid on our brand name or any variations/misspellings thereof (e.g., Thyme and Sage, thymeandsage.com, Thyme and Sage Home, etc.).

  • Bid on branded + keyword combinations (e.g., Thyme and Sage discount, Thyme and Sage coupon, Buy Thyme and Sage).

  • Use our brand name or domain in any part of the display URLfinal URL, or tracking domain, unless expressly approved in writing.

  • Directly link to our website from paid ads. All PPC traffic must go through the affiliate’s own landing page (i.e., no direct linking).

  • Use automated bidding tools to compete against our own campaigns.

  • Mislead users through false or unapproved ad copy referencing our brand.

✅ Allowed Practices (with Conditions)

Affiliates may:

  • Run PPC ads using generic, non-branded keywords (e.g., “best organic towels,” “luxury kitchen linens,” etc.).

  • Use paid search to drive traffic to your own landing pages, provided the content is accurate, aligned with our brand values, and not misleading.

  • Use ad copy that accurately represents our brand and does not suggest official partnership unless approved.

🔍 Required: Brand Name as Negative Keyword

Affiliates must add the following terms to their negative keyword list in all search campaigns:

  • Thyme and Sage

  • thymeandsage.com

  • [Thyme and Sage] coupon

  • All common misspellings and variations of our brand name
(Please contact us if you need a full list of restricted terms.)
