Please read our affiliate terms and conditions carefully before applying to join our program. These terms and conditions are written to ensure the success of our Honest History affiliate program and our valued affiliate partners. It is each affiliate's responsibility to ensure compliance at all times. Thank you for your interest in our program. We look forward to working with you.
DEFINITIONS
As used in the below Terms: (i) "Honest History", “Merchant”, "We", "us", or "our" refers to Honest History Co. (ii) "You" or "your" refers to the Affiliate (iii) "Our Website" refers to the honesthistory.co properties located at https://honesthistory.co/ (iv) "Your Website" refers to any Websites that you will link to our Website; "Program" refers to the Honest History Affiliate Program.
ENROLLMENT
After receiving your application, we will review your Website and notify you of your acceptance or rejection into our Program. Please allow up to 48 hours (Mon-Fri) for your application to be approved. We reserve the right to reject any application; however we encourage you to contact us if you feel we have made an incorrect decision. Please include all websites that you use in your profile as that will help us make a better decision.
We may reject your application in our sole discretion including if we determine that your site is unsuitable. Unsuitable sites include those that:
(a) promote or contain sexually explicit materials;
(b) promote violence or contain violent materials;
(c) promote or contain libelous or defamatory materials;
(d) promote discrimination, or employ discriminatory practices, based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age;
(e) promote or undertake illegal activities;
(f) include any trademark of Honest History, or a variant or misspelling of a trademark of Honest History, in any domain name, subdomain name, or in any username, group name, or other identifier on any social networking site; or
(g) otherwise violate intellectual property rights.
If we reject your application, you are welcome to reapply at any time. However, if we accept your application and we later determine that your site is unsuitable, we may terminate this Operating Agreement at any time in our sole discretion.
You will ensure that the information in your Program application and otherwise associated with your account, including your email address and other contact information and identification of your site, is at all times complete, accurate, and up-to-date. We may send notifications (if any), approvals (if any), and other communications relating to the Program and this Operating Agreement to the email address then-currently associated with your Program account. You will be deemed to have received all notifications, approvals, and other communications sent to that email address, even if the email address associated with your account is no longer current.
LINKING TO OUR WEBSITE
Upon acceptance into the Program, links will be made available to you through the Awin interface. You agree that you will only use linking code obtained from Affiliate Window without manipulation. Also, please ensure that all domains where you use our link are listed in your affiliate network profile.
You hereby agree that your Website will not in any way copy, resemble, or mirror the look and feel of our Website. You will also not use any means to create the impression that your Website is our Website or any part of our Website including, without limitation, framing of our Website in any manner. Cookie stuffing, pop-ups, and false or misleading links are strictly prohibited. In addition, wherever possible, you will not attempt to mask the referring url information (i.e. the page from where the click is originating). Using redirects to bounce a click off of a domain where the click did not originate in order to give the appearance that it came from that domain is expressly prohibited and is a direct violation of the program. This does not include using "out" redirects from the same domain where the affiliate link is placed.
PPC GUIDELINES
If you are enrolled in our Program and participate in PPC advertising, you must adhere to our PPC Guidelines as follows:
You may not bid on any of our trademarked terms, including “Honest History” or any variations or misspellings thereof for search or content based campaigns on Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask or any other network.
You may not use our trademark terms in sequence with any other keyword (i.e. Honest History Coupons).
You may not use our trademarked terms in your ad title, ad copy, display name or as the display url.
If you automate your PPC campaigns, the responsibility is on you to exclude our trademark terms from your program and we strongly suggest you add our trademarked terms as negative keywords. We have a strict no tolerance policy on PPC trademark bidding. We will not enter a discussion about when the violation started and when it stopped; you will forfeit all commissions for a minimum of the past 30 days.

COUPON GUIDELINES
If you are enrolled in our Program and your Website promotes coupon codes, you must adhere to our Coupon Guidelines as follows:
You may ONLY advertise coupon codes that are provided to you through Awin.
You may NOT advertise coupon codes obtained from our non-affiliate advertising, customer e-mails, paid search, or any other campaign.
On click through, you must link directly to our website. Framing of our website is strictly prohibited.
Cookie Stuffing: You must not mislead customers into clicking on an offer/coupon that does not exist or practice similarly deceptive tactics which are generally accepted as "cookie stuffing." These include, but are not limited to using knowingly expired offers, presenting offers that do not exist, presenting a button that claims to show all offers which sets the affiliate cookie, and technology which generates a click/sets the cookie from the action of copying a coupon code.
Unless you have been given express written permission, if you are found to be engaging in any of the aforementioned practices, we reserve the right to reverse any/all sales generated. Only discount codes approved for the affiliate channel will be approved at the full commission rate. Transactions including non-affiliate approved discount codes, will still be honored at a lower commission rate of 5%. Please note that all transactions including a 'refer a friend' code (RAF) will be declined. If your Website participates in forums where active users of your Website can submit coupon codes, it is your responsibility to ensure that the coupon codes submitted do not violate our Coupon Guidelines.
Transactions including non-affiliate approved discount codes, excluding RAF codes, will still be honored at a lower commission rate of 5% ONLY for Content Affiliates. Please note that all transactions including a 'refer a friend' code (RAF) will be declined. Please note that all transactions including non-affiliate approved discount codes from Incentive sites (voucher/cashback) will be declined.
DOMAIN NAMES
Use of any of our copyrighted & trademarked terms as part of the domain or sub-domain for your website is strictly prohibited i.e. honesthistory.website.com or www.honesthistory-coupons.com
RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR SITE
You will be solely responsible for your site, including its development, operation, and maintenance and all materials that appear on or within it. For example, you will be solely responsible for:
- the technical operation of your site and all related equipment;
- displaying Special Links and Content on your site in compliance with this Operating Agreement and the Operational Documentation and any agreement between you and any other person or entity (including any restrictions or requirements placed on you by any person or entity that hosts your site);
- creating and posting, and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of, materials posted on your site (including all Product descriptions and other Product-related materials and any information you include within or associate with Special Links);
- using the Content, your site, and the materials on or within your site in a manner that does not infringe, violate, or misappropriate any of our rights or those of any other person or entity (including copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or proprietary rights);
- using the Content, your site, and the materials on or within your site in a manner that is not harmful, harassing, blasphemous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, libelous or otherwise in any manner whatsoever;
- disclosing on your site accurately and adequately, either through a privacy policy or otherwise, how you collect, use, store, and disclose data collected from visitors, including, where applicable, that third parties (including us and other advertisers) may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on visitors’ browsers; and
- any use that you make of the Content and the Honest History Marks, whether or not permitted under this Operating Agreement.
We will have no liability for these matters or for any of your end users’ claims relating to these matters, and you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us, our affiliates and licensors, and our and their respective employees, officers, directors, and representatives, harmless from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) relating to (a) your site or any materials that appear on your site, including the combination of your site or those materials with other applications, content, or processes; (b) the use, development, design, manufacture, production, advertising, promotion, or marketing of your site or any materials that appear on or within your site, and all other matters described in this Section 5; (c) your use of any Content, whether or not such use is authorized by or violates this Operating Agreement, any Operational Documentation, or applicable law; (d) your violation of any term or condition of this Operating Agreement or any Operational Documentation; or (e) your or your employees' negligence or willful misconduct.
ADVERTISING & PUBLICITY
Affiliates are not allowed to supplant by any means the merchant's identity in social media. Affiliate must be easily identified by users in any promotion in social media.
You shall not create, publish, distribute, or permit any written material that makes reference to our Program without first submitting such material to us and receiving our prior written consent. If you intend to promote our Program via e-mail campaigns, you must adhere to the following:
Abide by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations of 2003 (Regulations 22 and 23) with respect to our Program.
E-mail must be sent on your behalf and must not imply that the e-mail is being sent on behalf of Honest History
E-mails must first be submitted to us for approval prior to being sent or we must be sent a copy of the e-mail.
Affiliates are not permitted to bid on the Honest History brand name, use any misspelt or variation of the brand, including all references to Honest History magazine and/or sites/URLs or at any time be seen bidding against Honest History's own Search Engine Marketing activity.
Please ensure you read our Terms & Conditions before you apply for our program. Affiliates violating the above T&C will be rejected from the program and deemed ineligible for any payments owed under orders violating these terms
*Please note that commission will only be awarded for promotional offers on Awin. Manually entered promotional codes, or offers promoted elsewhere will not be awarded commission.
