With more than 150 product categories, we offer our customers high-quality refurbished tech products and appliances: from smartphones to kitchen robots, through laptops, smartwatches, cameras, tablets, headphones, speakers and literally thousands of other refurbished products.
The quality of products from Back Market is comparable to that of new products. Items are cheaper and buying on Back Market means contributing to the reduction of electronic waste.
Our platform brings together more than 1500 hand-picked affiliate refurbishes. Back Market works only with certified professionals.
We already sold refurbished products to more than 6 millions of customers in our 16 countries where we operate at the moment (status in February 2022).

What are refurbished products?
Refurbished products have a past, but they can fall into 3 different types of categories:
- Products that are practically new: products that have been returned after purchase within 14 to 30 days, products whose packaging has suffered some damage and therefore cannot be sold as new, or products that have been on display and, despite not having been used or configured, cannot be sold as new.
- Products that are returned due to a fault or repair, but that the brand prefers to replace with a new one for the customer's convenience.
- Products that have had a previous life but are still in operation or can be renewed after being legally reclaimed by a refurbisher.
In any of these three cases, all products go through a professional refurbisher or workshop where they are checked, repaired, renewed, cleaned and then packed with their accessories and put on sale again. Unlike second-hand products, they not only pass strict performance and quality controls, but also offer the guarantees and services of new products: 12-month minimum warranty, 30-day trial, the possibility of contract theft and breakage insurance, as well as a customer service and protection service.

Price: Back Market products are 30% to 70% cheaper than new products. Prices can vary between products, condition and refurbisher
- Customers can choose between different product conditions. The different conditions are only specifically about the esthetical condition of the product. The technical condition of each product are all measured according to the same high standards
- “excellent” → screen in perfect condition, may have barely visible micro-scratches
- “good” → screen is in perfect condition, case may have visible micro-scratches
- “fair” → screen may have micro-scratches, case may have visible scratches and/or dents
Quality: The 1500 refurbishers on the platform are professionals that have been checked and tested before being allowed to sell on Back Market and we foresee all their operations as stated in our quality charter to ensure a high level of reliability.
Warranty and retraction period: each product on the platform is delivered with a 1-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Some products come with even longer warranties.
