LG Affiliate Program
Master Terms and Conditions

Draft master framework for use across LG affiliate markets. This version standardizes attribution, validation, paid search restrictions, and exclusive code rules, while allowing market-specific commercial terms to be maintained in an appendix.

Use of this document: This master version is intended to be adopted across markets and then supplemented with a short market-specific schedule covering baseline CPA, approved publisher categories, cookie window, and any local legal or network requirements.

1. Program Scope and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the LG affiliate program operated for participating LG Electronics markets. By applying to, joining, or continuing to participate in the program, each publisher, affiliate, sub-network, or technology partner agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions, any applicable network terms, and any written program instructions issued by LG or its appointed agency from time to time.

These Terms and Conditions are intended to provide a single governance framework across markets. Because this is a regional and global affiliate program with local implementation, some commercial rules, operational requirements, validation logic, approved partner types, exclusions, and compliance expectations may be market-specific. These market-specific terms will be communicated, updated, and enforced by the local or central affiliate team in line with the relevant market set-up and platform rules.

2. Definitions

Affiliate - any publisher, media partner, sub-network, technology partner, cashback partner, loyalty partner, content partner, influencer, CSS partner, retargeting/display partner, or other approved partner participating in the program.

Transaction - a sale tracked through the affiliate network and attributed to an affiliate link, ad, or authorized code.

Validated Transaction - a transaction accepted by LG after all fraud, cancellation, return, payment, stock, and policy checks have been completed.

Transaction Query or Transaction Inquiry or TQ - a claim submitted by affiliates to investigate a missing, rejected, amended, or disputed transaction.

Exclusive Code - any coupon, voucher, promotion code, discount code, offer code, referral code, access code, or other promotional benefit made available exclusively to a specific or restricted audience and shared by publishers, including but not limited to discount sites, online communities, closed user groups, influencers, or other approved partners.

Partnership Store - "Partnership Store" means any website, microsite, portal, application, platform, or dedicated shopping environment operated by or on behalf of LG that provides exclusive products, pricing, offers, discounts, promotions, or purchasing benefits to a defined customer group, audience segment, membership cohort, or other restricted audience.

This includes, but is not limited to, areas such as the Student Shop, Business Shop, Key Worker Shop, LG Members Shop, Employee Store, Partner Store, or any other restricted-access purchasing environment designated by LG.

3. Participation and Approval

• All affiliates must be approved before promotion begins. LG reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or remove any applicant or partner at its sole discretion.

• LG may request additional information on promotional methods, traffic sources, site ownership, audience profile, and compliance controls at any time.

• Affiliates must ensure that all websites, apps, social channels, email databases, promotional placements, media buying environments, and technical setups used to promote LG comply with these Terms and Conditions. This includes avoiding any environment that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, non-brand-safe, audit-failing, or otherwise unsuitable for LG, including without limitation gambling environments, adult content, hate speech, dangerous content, malware-linked placements, and other inventory that may fail LG or client audit standards.

• Affiliates are responsible for the activity of any approved sub-publishers, sub-networks, or technology providers they use.

4. Permitted Promotion Methods

Subject to market approval, the program may permit selected combinations of the following partner types and promotional methods: cashback, price comparison, editorial content, D2B2C / closed user group partnerships, deals and vouchers, direct linking, direct traffic, finance partners, influencers, lead generation, loyalty, media brokers, retargeting, approved search activity where expressly authorized in writing, shopping portals, sub-networks, and technology partners. Additional approved partner types may be accepted where agreed by LG in writing.

Any traffic source, ad format, placement, media environment, publisher model, or technical implementation not expressly approved by LG may affect an applicant's acceptance into the program, trigger a compliance review, or lead to removal if later found to be non-compliant. LG and/or its agency may carry out periodic audits of traffic sources, placements, creatives, implementation methods, and code usage. Affiliates must cooperate with these reviews and promptly action any remediation requested. Material or repeated non-compliance may be escalated internally and may result in rejection, suspension, reversal, or removal from the program.

5. Strictly Prohibited Activity

• PPC, paid search, search bidding, or SEM activity of any kind is strictly prohibited unless LG gives prior written approval for a specific market, partner type, or implementation. Where no such approval exists, affiliates must not bid on LG brand terms, misspellings, product names, generic category terms used to intercept LG demand or use paid search to redirect traffic to LG through affiliate tracking.

• Site-under, pop-under, forced click, cookie stuffing, adware, toolbars, malware, misleading redirects, hidden links, unauthorized browser extensions, incentive abuse, auto-applied codes, and any deceptive or non-transparent user journey are prohibited.

• Promotion that misrepresents pricing, financing, discounts, product availability, delivery promises, or LG brand affiliation is prohibited.

• Unauthorized use of voucher codes, employee codes, student codes, banking or membership codes, LG OBS store vouchers, and any other exclusive or restricted offer is prohibited. Transactions generated through codes not assigned to the promoting affiliate, or codes used outside their authorized audience or placement, may be declined.

• Bulk resale, unauthorized B2B, D2D, corporate, trade, or procurement purchasing, or any order pattern LG reasonably believes is intended for resale, internal distribution, or non-consumer use may be declined and will not be commissionable, with orders over three quantities subject to audit and verification. LG may also exclude selected product groups, including specified IT accessories or other non-commissionable items, in line with the live program settings.

• Unauthorized Use of Partnership Stores - Any misuse, exploitation, or unauthorized promotion of Partnership Store areas is strictly prohibited. Partnership Stores are intended solely for the specific customer groups for which they are created and must not be used by, promoted to, or shared with individuals outside of those eligible cohorts.
For the avoidance of doubt, prohibited activity includes, without limitation, sharing, publishing, distributing, or promoting links, access routes, discount mechanisms, or other methods of entry to Partnership Stores in a way that enables ineligible individuals to access offers, pricing, or discounts intended only for the relevant eligible group. By way of example, the Student Shop is intended exclusively for students, and it is prohibited to share or promote access to that area for use by non-students.

• Any breach of network rules, applicable law, privacy regulation, or LG brand guidelines may result in immediate reversal, suspension, or removal from the program.

6. Attribution, Tracking, and De-duplication

• Unless otherwise stated in the applicable market schedule, the program operates on a last-click attribution model within the stated cookie window.

• LG reserves the right to de-duplicate transactions against other marketing channels, internal attribution sources, platform rules, or validation systems. This is particularly relevant where display, retargeting, technology, or other assistive partner models are active, and LG may apply market-specific logic to avoid duplicating payment across overlapping channels.

• Where another channel, internal system, or LG validation rule is determined to have priority, the affiliate transaction may be amended, partially commissioned, or declined.

• Tracking, attribution, and de-duplication outcomes recorded by LG and/or the network shall be final unless LG agrees otherwise after review.

• Affiliates are responsible for implementing links, tags, tracking, product feeds, code logic, and authorized promotional materials correctly. For display, retargeting, and technology partners, no ad-serving, tag deployment, data use, or tracking implementation may be launched without LG's prior approval where required by the market or network.

Attribution rule: Affiliate credit is not guaranteed purely because a click occurred. Transactions remain subject to LG de-duplication logic, channel priority rules, cancellation checks, returns, payment confirmation, and compliance review before final validation.

7. Commission Structure and Commercial Changes

• Baseline commission rates are set by market and may also vary by business unit, product category, retailer environment, or campaign period. Current market-specific commission rates and live product or business-unit visibility should be maintained transparently within the relevant network commission manager or program interface. Market schedules or appendices may summarize the structure, but the live commission manager should be treated as the operative source for the current average or active rate by product group, business unit, or program set-up.

• LG may agree higher CPA rates, flat fees, tenancy fees, or other commercial arrangements for specific placements, campaigns, or exposure opportunities. Any such arrangement is valid only where confirmed in writing by LG or its appointed agency.

  • During periods of budget restriction, product margin pressure, campaign reprioritization, or other commercial need, LG may reduce, amend, or withdraw baseline commission rates, including on as little as 7 days' notice where permitted by the affiliate platform rules.

LG generally aims to maintain a minimum baseline commission of 0.5% CPA. However, commission rates, including 0% CPA where applicable, may vary by market, product, category, business unit, campaign, or other commercial requirements at LG's discretion.

Any such change will be communicated through the relevant affiliate network, platform notice mechanism, or direct program communication.

• Continued promotion after such notice shall be deemed acceptance of the updated commission structure.

• Commission is payable only on validated consumer transactions and is subject to cancellation, amendment, or reversal where an order is cancelled, returned, unpaid, duplicated, attributed elsewhere, linked to policy misuse, generated through non-compliant traffic, classified as B2B or non-consumer purchasing, or falls into a non-commissionable product or voucher category such as specified IT accessories or LG OBS store voucher activity.

8. Closed User Group, D2B2C, and Exclusive Code Controls

• Any exclusive code issued for a closed user group, D2B2C partner, employee audience, student audience, loyalty group, banking membership, or any similarly restricted audience may only be displayed in the authorized placement and to the authorized audience.

• If an affiliate publishes, surfaces, indexes, distributes, or otherwise uses a code that was not issued to that affiliate or is not intended for that affiliate's audience, the resulting transactions may be declined in full.

• LG may also reverse historical transactions, suspend access to codes, restrict tracking, or remove the affiliate from the program where misuse of exclusive codes is identified.

• Affiliates must not scrape, auto-populate, replicate, or redistribute codes from LG communications, closed environments, competitor sites, browser extensions, or unauthorized third-party sources.

9. Validation, Returns, and Transaction Queries

• LG operates a strict 90-day validation and query period calculated from the original transaction date.

• Any Transaction Query must be submitted before the expiry of 90 days from the transaction date. If a missing or disputed transaction is not uploaded, raised, or evidenced within this period, the transaction may be declined and will no longer be eligible for review or payment.

• Transactions remain subject to LG's validation process, including but not limited to payment confirmation, cancellation checks, returns, fraud screening, order quality review, stock issues, duplicate order checks, and policy compliance.

• LG may reject transactions connected to voucher misuse, unauthorized traffic, suspected resale, duplicate channel attribution, invalid basket composition, or other non-compliant activity.

• Validation decisions made after review of internal data, network logs, and order history shall be final.

90-day rule: This rule should be reflected clearly in every market launch note and publisher onboarding message. It is particularly important for manual upload markets, append-sheet workflows, or any transaction query process relying on delayed reconciliation.

10. Order Eligibility and Program Limitations

LG may apply market-specific commission eligibility rules, which may include but are not limited to: minimum order value thresholds, maximum cashback or commission caps, product- or category-level commission caps, and any other conditions based on minimum or maximum transaction thresholds. Such rules may vary by market and are subject to change at LG's discretion, with reasonable notice provided where practicable.

• LG may exclude selected product categories, B2B orders, D2D orders, reseller behaviour, employee purchases, internal test orders, LG OBS store voucher orders, specified IT accessories, or any other categories designated as non-commissionable in the live program settings or market schedule.

• Affiliates must not imply universal commission eligibility across all products, categories, or campaign periods unless explicitly confirmed by LG.

11. Creative, Brand, and Messaging Rules

• Affiliates may only use LG branding, logos, creative assets, product feeds, text links, or promotional copy that has been supplied by LG, the network, or approved in writing.

• Affiliates must keep all pricing, financing, promotional, and product claims accurate and up to date.

• Where a market requires legal disclaimers, financing wording, availability messages, category exclusions, local language requirements, or market-specific compliance language, affiliates must follow the latest instructions communicated by the relevant LG or agency team.

• Any self-created creative, landing page, or comparison environment referencing LG may require prior approval.12. Data Protection and Compliance

• Affiliates must comply with all applicable privacy, consumer protection, advertising, and electronic communications laws in the markets in which they operate.

• Affiliates must hold all necessary rights, permissions, and lawful bases required for their promotional activities, including email and audience data usage.

• Affiliates must provide proof of live placement upon request by LG or its agency. This may include, but is not limited to, screenshots, live URLs, screen recordings, email sends, ad previews, or platform-level reporting that clearly demonstrates the creative, placement, timing, and visibility of LG promotions. Proof must be provided within 5 business days of request. Failure to provide sufficient proof may result in commission withholding, adjustment, or removal from the program. This is particularly relevant for display, retargeting, media broker, sub-network, and technology partners.

12. Suspension, Removal, and Enforcement

• LG may suspend tracking, withhold commission, reverse transactions, remove access to codes or creatives, reject new applications, or terminate participation where an affiliate breaches these Terms and Conditions or where LG reasonably believes the affiliate presents a compliance, legal, brand, or commercial risk.

• Serious breaches, including PPC violations, code misuse, fraudulent activity, tracking manipulation, or repeated policy breaches, may result in immediate program removal without further notice.

• LG's failure to enforce a term immediately shall not be treated as a waiver of its rights.

13. Amendments

LG reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, program rules, validation logic, commercial schedules, and local market requirements at any time. Unless a shorter period is required by law, network rule, or urgent compliance need, changes will normally be communicated with at least 7 days' notice through the relevant affiliate platform, network update, or program communication. Continued participation after the effective date of the update constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

Affiliates are encouraged to seek clarification from LG or its appointed agency where any provision of these Terms and Conditions or any market-specific rule is unclear before undertaking promotional activities.

Any interpretation or approval relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be valid only where confirmed in writing by LG or its appointed agency.
