We are Northern, a train company in the North of England. We play a vital role by connecting tens of thousands of people to work, leisure, education and more every day.
Commission Structure:
- 2% on transaction value on tickets sold via our website, including on train tickets for journeys not on our network.
PPC Policy
Pay Per Click activity is permitted, but not direct linking. Accordingly, Affiliates must not bid on any Northern brand name terms as specified below on any search engines, including Google, Yahoo or Bing.

Publishers are not permitted to bid on Northern’s competitors’ brand names (or misspells) to drive traffic.
Ad Copy and Display URL
Affiliates are not permitted to use the Northern brand name or any variations thereof (including those specified above) within the ad copy title to text, or within the display URL.
Affiliates must, to avoid broad match issues, include the restricted terms specified above as negative keywords in all PPC campaigns for Northern.
Email policy
Affiliates must not send any unsolicited emails or make any other unsolicited contact, including blog comment spamming, relating to Northern or this Programme.
Voucher codes terms:
Any Affiliates providing a voucher code site must not have any misleading copy suggesting there are codes when none exist. Northern may feature in special offers, but the copy you supply directing customers to the site must be clear.
General
Affiliates whose sites may include any offensive or explicit material are not eligible to join the Northern affiliate programme and any affiliates found using such material will be suspended from using the Northern brand and may have their commission declined.
Any Affiliates breaching any these terms may have pending transactions cancelled or face suspension or termination from the programme.
Branding
All creative content used in relation to Northern must be supplied by Northern. Once approved on the programme Northern will provide Northern logos, Banner creative in various sizes and formats and text links/links to promotional pages. No amendments to be made to any such content without the prior written consent of Northern.
