Shades of Cool London – Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Shades of Cool London ("SOCL", "we", "us") affiliate programme operated via Awin. By joining the programme, you ("Affiliate", "Partner") agree to be bound by these Terms in addition to Awin's own publisher terms.
1. Programme Overview
The SOCL affiliate programme allows approved partners to earn commission by promoting Shades of Cool London products through tracked links provided via the Awin platform.
2. Commission and Cookie Period
Standard commission is 10% of the net sale value (excluding VAT, shipping and any discounts applied). The tracking cookie window is 30 days from the point of click. Commission is calculated on validated, completed orders only.
3. Order Validation
Commission is approved once the order has passed our returns and cancellation period and payment has been confirmed. Orders that are cancelled, returned, refunded, or found to be fraudulent will be declined and commission will not be paid. SOCL reserves the right to decline commission on orders that breach these Terms.
4. Approved Promotional Methods
Affiliates may promote SOCL through content marketing, blogs, social media, newsletters, and other legitimate channels that present the brand accurately and align with its values.
5. Prohibited Activities
The following are not permitted under this programme:
- Bidding on "Shades of Cool London", "SOCL", "Sleep Dohar" or close misspellings/variants in paid search (PPC), including brand bidding on Google, Bing or any other paid search platform
- Use of misleading, false, or unauthorised discount codes or coupon claims
- Incentivised traffic, including cashback, loyalty point schemes, or "reward for click" arrangements, unless specifically agreed in writing
- Spam, unsolicited email marketing, or scraping of SOCL's website content
- Promotion alongside adult, hateful, violent, or otherwise brand-damaging content
- Framing, cookie stuffing, or any technical manipulation of tracking
- Any activity that breaches Awin's own publisher policies
6. Use of Brand Assets
Affiliates may use SOCL-provided logos, product imagery, and approved messaging solely for the purpose of promoting SOCL products. Brand assets may not be altered, used to imply endorsement beyond the affiliate relationship, or used after the affiliate relationship ends.
7. Content Accuracy
Affiliates must represent SOCL products accurately, including pricing, materials, and product claims. Affiliates should not make health or medical claims beyond those provided in our official messaging.
8. Payment
Payments are processed by Awin in line with their standard payment schedule and thresholds. SOCL is not responsible for payment delays caused by incomplete Awin account or tax information on the Affiliate's part.
9. Programme Changes and Termination
SOCL reserves the right to amend commission rates, cookie duration, or these Terms at any time, with reasonable notice provided via Awin where possible. SOCL reserves the right to suspend or terminate any affiliate's participation in the programme at its discretion, including for breach of these Terms, without affecting commission already validated prior to termination.
10. Liability
SOCL accepts no liability for losses arising from an Affiliate's participation in the programme, including loss of anticipated commission. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for matters that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
