Commission Calculation
- VAT Exclusion : Commissions are calculated based on the net order value, excluding VAT.
- Discounts and Rebates : Commissions are calculated on the final amount effectively paid by the customer, after deduction of any applicable discounts, promotions, vouchers, employee benefits, rebates, or other price reductions.
Telesales
Transactions that are “telesales” and are initiated via a phone call and then purchased through an affiliate link are not eligible for payout. Hence, these transactions will be declined.
Exclude Categories
Commissions will not be granted for the following items ;
- Services (delivery, installation, maintenance subscriptions such as VBD Life, etc.)
- Gaming consoles (accessories are eligible)
- Gift cards
Returns and Cancellations
Commissions will not be granted for any orders that are returned or cancelled. Only completed and non-refunded transactions are eligible for commission.
Fraudulent Activity
Any transactions deemed fraudulent, including but not limited to self-referrals, use of bots, or manipulation of tracking mechanisms, will be rejected and not eligible for commission. Vanden Borre reserves the right to investigate and decline any suspicious activity.
Cookie Duration and Attribution
Sales are attributed based on a last-click model within a cookie duration of 30 days. If multiple affiliates are involved, the commission will be granted to the last referring affiliate within the valid cookie window.
E-mail marketing
The sending of commercial communications via Awin is only permitted if the publisher can demonstrably prove compliance with Article 11.7 of the Telecommunications Act, the guidelines of the ACM, and the Awin Code of Conduct.
The Awin Code of Conduct must be signed and held by Awin Benelux, so that it can be presented at any time upon request of the ACM.
Previews must be submitted for approval via the Email Approval Tool.
By submitting a preview, the publisher confirms compliance with Article 11.7 of the Telecommunications Act and confirms that prior consent has been obtained from all email recipients.
The communication may only be sent once the advertiser has approved both the preview and the send-out.
The publisher remains fully responsible for any consequences arising from sending spam or sending commercial communications without the advertiser’s approval.
If a mailing is sent without approval from Awin and Vanden Borre, all sales generated from that mailing will be rejected.
Mailing lists: Only email addresses obtained through a valid opt-in process and collected in compliance with ACM (OPTA) regulations may be used.
In addition to submitting all communications to the advertiser/account manager for prior approval, the submission must include the sending date, number of recipients, sender information, and subject line.
Each resend requires a new approval. If this process is not followed, the advertiser reserves the right to reject any resulting sales and withhold commission payments.
