Program Terms

AFFILIATE PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

By applying to, joining, or participating in the Hotline Tips Affiliate Program via the AWIN network, you agree to comply fully with the following Terms & Conditions. These apply to all promotional activity, including links accessed via third-party partners within the program.

Failure to adhere to these terms may result in commission reversals, suspension, or removal from the program.

USE OF TRADEMARKS

Affiliates are not permitted to use the Brand’s trademarks, including but not limited to brand name, domain names, product names, or any variations, misspellings, or extensions thereof, in any manner intended to optimize for or compete with the Brand.

This applies across all marketing channels, including (but not limited to) paid media, organic search, social media, and display advertising.

PPC & MEDIA BUY POLICY

The Brand enforces a strict no-PPC policy on trademark terms.

Affiliates are expressly prohibited from:

  • - Bidding on the Brand’s name, trademarks, or any variations/misspellings across all PPC platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads, Yahoo)
  • - Using branded terms within:
    •    - Keywords (exact, phrase, or broad match)
    •    - Ad copy
    •    - Display URLs
    •    - Final URLs
  • - Direct linking from PPC ads to the Brand’s website
  • - Bidding on combinations of branded terms with generic keywords (e.g. “Hotline Tips discount”, “buy Hotline Tips nails”)

Affiliates must also ensure that the Brand’s name is added as a negative keyword within all PPC campaigns.

Commission Policy for PPC Violations

The Brand operates a zero-commission policy on any traffic or sales generated in breach of the PPC terms.

In the event of suspected infringement:

  • - The Brand may request supporting evidence (e.g. screenshots, keyword lists)
  • - Affiliates must respond within 2 business days
  • - During investigation, commissions may be:
    •    - Set to $0
    •    - Placed on hold
    •    - Reversed in full or in part

If the affiliate is unable to demonstrate compliance, all associated commissions will be declined.

All decisions regarding PPC violations and commission eligibility are made at the sole discretion of the Affiliate Manager, and may include retrospective reversals.

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Affiliates must not misrepresent themselves as the Brand or imply any official partnership beyond participation in the affiliate program.

The following activities are prohibited without prior written approval:

  • - Creating social media accounts using the Brand’s name or variations
  • - Using branded hashtags in a misleading or impersonating manner
  • - Republishing Brand-owned content in a way that suggests endorsement

All affiliate promotions must remain clearly independent and compliant with advertising disclosure regulations.

COUPON, DEAL & LOYALTY PARTNERS

Affiliates operating coupon, cash back, or loyalty platforms must adhere to the following:

The use of codes and promotional messaging is restricted to those explicitly provided within the AWIN network or directly approved by the Affiliate Manager.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • - Promoting expired or invalid codes
  • - Publishing codes not distributed via the affiliate program
  • - Advertising non-existent offers or misleading discounts
  • - Using exclusive or influencer-specific codes without permission
  • - Posting codes on third-party platforms not owned or controlled by the affiliate

Violation of these terms may result in:

  • - Immediate commission reversals (including historical transactions)
  • - Removal from the affiliate program without notice

TOOLBARS, SOFTWARE & ADWARE

The use of adware, toolbars, browser extensions, or any downloadable software is strictly prohibited without prior written approval.

This includes any technology that:

  • - Interrupts or redirects the user journey
  • - Injects ads, offers, or affiliate links
  • - Overrides existing affiliate tracking
  • - Alters the browsing experience in a deceptive or intrusive manner

Examples include (but are not limited to): couponware, reminderware, PPV/CPV advertising, contextual overlays, and browser helper objects.

Unauthorized use will result in immediate removal and full commission forfeiture.

COMPLIANCE & DISCLOSURES

Affiliates are responsible for ensuring that all promotional activity complies with applicable laws and regulations in all target markets.

This includes:

  • - Proper advertising disclosures (e.g. FTC, ASA, GDPR where applicable)
  • - Compliance with age-restricted or regulated product guidelines (where relevant)
  • - Transparent communication of offers and partnerships

Failure to comply may result in immediate termination and reversal of all commissions.

MONITORING & ENFORCEMENT

The Brand actively monitors affiliate activity across all channels.

By participating in the program, affiliates agree to:

  • - Cooperate with compliance checks and investigations
  • - Provide requested documentation within specified timeframes
  • - Accept enforcement actions at the discretion of the Affiliate Manager

AMENDMENTS TO TERMS

The Brand reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Affiliates are responsible for reviewing the terms regularly to ensure ongoing compliance. Continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of any updates.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • Hotline Tips will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise out of your participation in the program Our liability will be limited to the total commissions you have earned during the six months immediately prior to the event that gave rise to the claim.

GENERAL

These Terms & Conditions override any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or verbal, relating to the affiliate program.
