Cascadia Community Energy LLC: Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

1. Program Purpose & Attribution

The Cascadia Community Energy Affiliate Program rewards partners for facilitating the final enrollment of customers into the Oregon Community Solar Program.

Commission Model: Last-click attribution.

Cookie Window: 30 days.

Tracking: Facilitated via AWIN’s approved cookie, client-side, and server-side tracking mechanisms.

2. Lead Validation & Commission Rejections

Cascadia Community Energy LLC reserves the right to audit all leads. Commissions will be rejected or clawed back if a lead meets any of the following criteria:

Geographic & Utility Requirements: * The user resides outside of Oregon, USA.

The user is not an active customer of Portland General Electric (PGE) or Pacific Power.

Early Attrition: The user cancels their subscription within the first 28 days of enrollment.

Technical Failures: Utility information provided by the user "bounces" or fails our back-end validation process, requiring manual follow-up to correct data.

Program Exclusions: * The user signs up under the “Low-Income” enrollment option.

The user attempts to switch to “Low-Income” status after previously signing up as a standard residential customer.

Fraudulent Activity: Any lead generated via bots, scripts, fake accounts, or the unauthorized use of another resident's utility information.

3. Prohibited Promotional Methods

To maintain the integrity of the Oregon Community Solar Program, the following practices are strictly prohibited. Engagement in these will result in immediate removal from the program and forfeiture of pending commissions:

Deceptive Advertising: Using "junk ads" or creative assets that mislead users regarding potential savings or the nature of community solar.

Unethical Traffic: Use of phishing, click farms, spam (email/SMS), or any method that obscures the traffic source.

Forced Clicks: Use of placements where users cannot reasonably opt-out, exit, or click away (e.g., locking browsers or aggressive pop-unders).

Brand Misrepresentation: Providing incorrect information regarding the Oregon Community Solar Program through text or imagery.

AI Generated Content Disclosure: The Affiliate will be held responsible of using AI Generated Content that breaks any of our terms and conditions.

AI Generated Content Requirement: Use of AI Tools that create, edit or optimize any creative assets without a “human in the loop” is prohibited. AI generated content cannot be used for false testimony or impersonate personalities representing users or the company Cascadia Community Energy LLC.

4. Intellectual Property & Creative Guidelines

Affiliates are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Cascadia Community Energy LLC logos and assets provided within the AWIN UI.

Modifications: Affiliates may not alter, redesign, or change the colors of any provided logos.

Approval: All custom-made creatives, editorials, or landing pages must be submitted for feedback. Affiliates must implement requested changes within a 72-hour business window.

5. PPC & Search Engine Marketing 

Brand Bidding: Affiliates are prohibited from bidding on "Cascadia Community Energy," "Oregon Community Solar Program," or any variations/misspellings thereof in search engines (Google, Bing, etc.).

Negative Keywords: You must add the above terms as negative keywords in your PPC campaigns.

6. Compliance & Legal Requirements 

FTC Disclosure: In accordance with FTC guidelines, affiliates must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure on any page where affiliate links are present, stating that a commission may be earned.

Data Privacy: Affiliates must comply with all applicable data protection laws (including the CCPA/CPRA where applicable) and must not pass personally identifiable information (PII) to Cascadia Community Energy outside of the secured AWIN tracking parameters.

Indemnification: The Affiliate agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cascadia Community Energy LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from the Affiliate's breach of these terms or misrepresentation of the program.

7. Termination of Partnership

Cascadia Community Energy LLC reserves the right to terminate any affiliate relationship at our sole discretion, specifically in cases involving:

High volumes of fraudulent or "fake" enrollments.

High subscription cancellation rates (indicating low-intent leads).

Failure to follow branding or compliance directions within a reasonable timeline.
