Program Terms

Filter King — Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions

1. Program overview

Filter King operates its affiliate program through the Awin network. By applying to and participating in the Filter King affiliate program, you agree to these terms in full. Filter King reserves the right to update these terms at any time, with changes communicated through Awin.

The program is open to publishers based in the United States who operate content, comparison, review websites or platforms relevant to home improvement, HVAC, air quality, or related topics. Publishing links in voucer/coupon code aggregator and deal websites or platforms is not allowed.

2. Commission structure

Standard commission rate: Publishers earn a 7.5% commission on the net order value of all qualifying first-time purchases referred through their affiliate link.

Commission basis: Commission is calculated on the order total excluding tax and shipping, after any discount codes have been applied, excluding shipping. Commission is not calculated on the pre-discount gross order value.

Commission on subscription renewals: Commission is payable on website purchases only. Subscription renewal orders are processed server-side and are not tracked through the Awin pixel. No commission is payable on recurring auto-delivery orders placed after the initial purchase.

Returns and cancellations: Commission will not be paid on orders that are subsequently returned, cancelled, or charged back. If a commission has already been paid on an order that is later returned, Filter King reserves the right to reverse that commission.

Transaction validation period: All transactions are held in a pending state for 37 days from the date of purchase before commission is confirmed and paid. Filter King reviews pending transactions during this period and will decline commission on any order that is returned, cancelled, or otherwise does not meet the qualifying order criteria set out in these terms.

3. Attribution and tracking

Attribution model: The program operates on a last-click attribution model. Commission is awarded to the publisher whose affiliate link was most recently clicked by the customer prior to completing a purchase, within the cookie window.

Cookie window: The tracking cookie window is 30 days. A purchase must occur within 30 days of the customer clicking your affiliate link for commission to be attributed.

Deduplication – paid search and paid social: Filter King runs paid advertising on Google Ads and paid social platforms including Meta. Where a customer journey includes a paid search click (identified by a gclid parameter) or a paid social click (identified by an fbclid or equivalent parameter), affiliate commission will be voided regardless of click order.

This deduplication policy is standard practice and is applied to protect the integrity of Filter King's marketing spend. Publishers are not penalised where deduplication occurs – it is applied automatically by the tracking system.

4. Qualifying orders

Commission is payable on orders that meet all of the following criteria:

  • The order is placed through the Filter King website (filterking.com) by a customer who clicked the publisher's affiliate link within the 30-day cookie window.
  • The order is a first-time purchase and has not been attributed to a paid search or paid social click within the customer journey.
  • The order is completed and payment is successfully processed.
  • The order is not subsequently returned, cancelled, or charged back.
  • The order is not a subscription renewal processed server-side outside of the website checkout.

5. Publisher conduct

Permitted promotional methods: Publishers may promote Filter King through the following methods:

  • Editorial content, reviews, buying guides, and comparison articles
  • Organic social media posts
  • Email newsletters to opted-in subscribers
  • Display advertising using Filter King's approved creative assets

Prohibited conduct: The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the program and forfeiture of any unpaid commissions:

  • Running paid search advertising of any kind (including Google Ads, Bing Ads, or any other paid search platform) using affiliate links. Publishers may not bid on any keywords – branded or generic – to drive paid traffic to filterking.com via their affiliate link.
  • Running paid social advertising using Filter King's brand name, logo, or creative assets without prior written approval.
  • Posting or distributing false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about Filter King products.
  • Using spam, unsolicited email, or automated traffic generation to drive clicks.
  • Cookie stuffing, click fraud, or any other form of tracking manipulation.
  • Displaying Filter King creative assets on websites containing adult content, hate speech, illegal material, or content that conflicts with Filter King's brand values.
  • Publishing affiliate links in voucher/coupon code and deal pages is prohibited.

Disclosure requirements: Publishers must comply with all applicable FTC disclosure requirements and clearly disclose their affiliate relationship with Filter King on any page or content where affiliate links appear.

6. Creative assets and brand use

Filter King provides approved banner ads, text links, and product feeds through the Awin platform. Publishers must use only approved creative assets and may not alter, crop, modify, or create derivative versions of Filter King's creative materials without prior written approval.

Use of the Filter King name and logo is permitted solely in the context of promoting Filter King products through approved affiliate links. Any other use requires explicit written permission from Filter King.

7. Publisher approval

Filter King manually reviews all publisher applications before approval.

Filter King reserves the right to decline any application without providing a reason, and to remove any publisher from the program at any time if these terms are breached or if the publisher's activity is deemed inconsistent with the program's goals.

8. Commission rate changes

Filter King reserves the right to adjust commission rates at any time. Changes to the standard commission rate will be communicated through Awin in accordance with Awin's notice period requirements. A minimum of seven days' notice will be given before any commission rate reduction takes effect.

Individual publisher commission rates may be adjusted separately and publishers will be notified through the Awin platform.
