Cape Candle & Cape HomeGeneral Program Terms
Cape Candle & Cape Home runs a selective, content-first affiliate program for approved creators, bloggers, editorial publishers, and brand-aligned lifestyle partners. We welcome authentic content centered on home, comfort, gifting, and elevated everyday living. This is a link-based Awin program and is not intended for coupon, voucher, cashback, loyalty, or deal-driven promotion. Unauthorized discounts, brand-term paid search, misleading claims, and low-quality promotional methods are prohibited. All commissions are subject to validation and may be declined for returns, cancellations, fraud, duplicate orders, policy violations, or unauthorized traffic sources. We reserve the right to approve, reject, suspend, remove, or reclassify any publisher and to update these terms at any time.
By joining or participating in this program, publishers agree to the following terms.
1. Program focus
This is a content-first affiliate program. It is intended for approved partners whose traffic and promotional methods align with Cape Candle & Cape Home’s brand positioning and customer experience.
This program is designed for:
- content creators
- editorial publishers
- bloggers
- home decor, gifting, lifestyle, parenting, pet-friendly home, self-care, and similar niche partners
This program is not designed as a coupon, voucher, cashback, loyalty, or deal-driven program.
2. Approval and participation
All publisher applications are reviewed at Cape Candle’s sole discretion. Approval is not guaranteed, and Cape Candle reserves the right to reject, remove, suspend, or reclassify any publisher at any time.
We may consider factors including:
- brand fit
- content quality
- audience relevance
- engagement quality
- traffic quality
- promotional methods
- compliance history
3. Commission structure
Approved publishers begin at the standard program commission rate listed in Awin.
Current intended structure:
- 10% standard starting tier
- 15% for top-performing partners who drive 6 or more orders in a calendar month, subject to monthly review
Cape Candle reserves the right to:
- change commission rates
- assign different rates by publisher type
- apply promotional bonuses or exclusions
- revise tier eligibility or review criteria
Any such updates may be reflected in Awin and/or communicated directly. Cape Candle reserves the right to exclude certain products, brands, or categories from commission eligibility, including selected third-party or lower-margin lines such as Swan Creek.
4. Tracking and attribution
All tracking is handled through approved Awin affiliate links and Awin reporting.
This is a link-based program. Cape Candle does not issue public coupon codes as part of this program.
Publishers are responsible for properly using their assigned tracking links. Cape Candle is not responsible for commissions lost due to:
- incorrect link use
- broken links
- unapproved link placement
- platform stripping or altering tracking
- unauthorized promotional methods
5. Validation and commission approval
All transactions are subject to review and validation.
Cape Candle may decline, reverse, or adjust commissions for reasons including:
- returned orders
- canceled orders
- duplicate orders
- fraudulent transactions
- self-referrals where prohibited
- unauthorized promotional activity
- trademark violations
- coupon or cashback violations
- misleading claims
- any breach of program terms
Commission validation timing will follow Cape Candle’s internal review schedule and return/cancellation window.
6. Prohibited partner types and promotional methods
The following partner types and methods are prohibited unless expressly approved in writing by Cape Candle:
- voucher or coupon sites
- cashback, rewards, or loyalty sites
- deal and promotional-code sites
- browser extensions
- toolbars
- software overlays
- sub-affiliate networks
- syndicated traffic sources
- incentivized traffic
- trademark bidding
- paid search activity using Cape Candle brand terms or close variants
- misleading promotional claims
- unauthorized coupon messaging
- public discount or “exclusive code” messaging
Publishers may not present Cape Candle as discount-led, deal-led, or cashback-led.
7. No coupon code policy
Cape Candle does not issue public coupon codes for this affiliate program.
Publishers may not:
- advertise unauthorized promo codes
- imply the existence of a code, deal, or exclusive offer
- scrape or republish old or third-party codes
- promote “special offers” not expressly authorized in writing
Any unauthorized coupon, voucher, or cashback promotion may result in immediate removal from the program and declined commissions.
8. Paid search restrictions
Publishers may not bid on:
- “Cape Candle”
- “Cape Home”
- branded product terms
- close misspellings or variations
- any trademarked or brand-confusing search terms
Publishers may not use Cape Candle’s brand name in paid search ads, display URLs, or ad copy without written approval.
Direct linking from paid search to Cape Candle properties is prohibited unless expressly approved in writing.
9. Content and brand guidelines
Publishers must present Cape Candle & Cape Home in a manner consistent with the brand.
Approved content should reflect themes such as:
- warmth
- comfort
- elevated everyday living
- home atmosphere
- gifting
- intentional home styling
- Publishers must not:
- misrepresent product features
- make unapproved health or safety claims
- alter branding or packaging in misleading ways
- create deceptive, offensive, or low-quality content associated with the brand
- compare Cape Candle negatively against competitors
Cape Candle reserves the right to request edits, removal, or discontinuation of any brand-related content.
10. Disclosure requirements
Publishers must comply with all applicable advertising, endorsement, and disclosure laws and platform rules.
Where required, publishers must clearly disclose their material relationship to Cape Candle, including affiliate relationships and gifted product where applicable.
Acceptable examples include:
- “This post contains affiliate links.”
- “I may earn a commission if you shop through my link.”
- “Gifted by Cape Candle,” where applicable.
Disclosures must be clear, easy to notice, and written in plain language.
11. Use of intellectual property
Publishers may use approved Cape Candle names, logos, product images, and creative assets only for the purpose of promoting the program in an authorized manner.
Publishers may not:
- modify logos in a misleading way
- create confusing brand identities
- register domains, handles, or social accounts using Cape Candle branding
- use brand assets outside approved promotional use
All intellectual property rights remain the property of Cape Candle & Cape Home.
12. Samples and seeded partnerships
From time to time, Cape Candle may provide product samples to selected creators.
Samples are not guaranteed and are provided at Cape Candle’s discretion. A sample does not automatically create:
- a paid partnership
- guaranteed deliverables
- guaranteed commission tier changes
- ongoing program participation
Any seeded content arrangement, gifted product arrangement, or separate deliverable expectation must be defined outside these general program terms.
13. Removal from the program
Cape Candle may remove or suspend a publisher at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including:
- inactivity
- poor fit
- low-quality traffic
- misleading promotion
- repeated policy violations
- reputational risk
- prohibited promotional methods
- breach of these terms
Removal from the program may include reversal or non-approval of pending commissions associated with disallowed activity.
14. Changes to the program
Cape Candle reserves the right to update:
- commission rates
- partner eligibility
- promotional rules
- category restrictions
- validation rules
- any part of these program terms
Continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
15. Final interpretation
Cape Candle retains sole discretion over interpretation and enforcement of these program terms, including publisher eligibility, commission approval, and policy compliance.
