Cherans Bakery Ltd – Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions (Awin)
Effective date: 6 March 2026
Advertiser: Cherans Bakery Ltd (“Cherans”, “we”, “us”)
Programme: Cherans Bakery Ltd Affiliate Programme on Awin (“Programme”)
Applies to: All publishers (“you”, “publisher”) promoting Cherans via Awin tracking links
1) Overview
These Programme Terms & Conditions (“Programme T&Cs”) set out the rules for promoting Cherans Bakery Ltd and earning commission through Awin. By applying to or participating in our Programme, you agree to comply with these Programme T&Cs, Awin platform requirements, and all applicable laws and advertising standards.
2) Commission, validation and payment
- Commission rate(s): As shown in Awin for your publisher account and/or any agreed commission group.
- Commission eligible actions: Valid online purchases placed on our website via Awin tracked links, unless otherwise stated.
- Validation / approval period: Transactions will be validated within 31 days of the transaction date, subject to returns, cancellations, and fraud checks.
- Invalid/declined transactions: We reserve the right to decline commission for:
- cancelled, returned or refunded orders (in full or part, commission may be adjusted pro-rata),
- suspected fraud, misuse, or breach of these Programme T&Cs,
- duplicate orders, test orders, internal/staff orders, or reseller activity,
- orders where attribution is removed via our de-duplication policy (see section 7).
-
- Payment: Commission payment is handled via Awin under their payment process.
-
3) Allowed promotional methods (generally permitted)
Unless restricted below, the following are typically permitted:
- Content marketing (reviews, recipes, gifting guides), SEO, and editorial features
- Social media posts (organic and paid only if compliant with section 5)
- Voucher/discount promotion only for codes we have provided and approved (see section 4)
-
4) Voucher codes, discounts and offers
- Approved codes only: You may only promote voucher/discount codes that we have supplied directly (via Awin, email, or publisher communications) and that are clearly intended for affiliate distribution.
- No “found”/scraped codes: You must not promote or imply availability of codes sourced from other sites, customer emails, or “leaked”/unauthorised channels.
- No misleading savings: Do not advertise “best price”, “guaranteed discount”, “student discount”, “NHS discount” etc. unless we have explicitly provided such an offer.
- Code placement: If you are a voucher site, codes must be displayed accurately with clear terms (expiry, minimum spend, exclusions).
5) PPC / paid search, trademarks and domain use
- Brand bidding (default restriction): No bidding on our brand terms (including misspellings and variations), e.g. “Cherans”, “Cherans Bakery”, “Cherans Bakery Ltd” and close variants.
- No direct-linking: No direct linking from paid search ads to our site using affiliate tracking links (unless we approve in writing).
- No impersonation: You must not use our brand name (or confusingly similar variations) in your paid ad account name, ad copy in a misleading way, or display URL.
- Domains/handles: You must not register, use, or promote domains or social handles that include or resemble our trademarks/brand terms (or could confuse users into thinking you are Cherans).
6) Prohibited activities (strictly not allowed)
You must not:
- Use cookie dropping, forced clicks, hidden iframes, or any technique that sets cookies without a genuine user-initiated click
- Use adware, toolbars, browser extensions, or software-based traffic that overwrites attribution without explicit written approval
- Mislead customers (fake urgency/stock claims, inaccurate pricing, false endorsements, or pretending to be the official site)
- Use spam: unsolicited email, bulk DMs, or SMS without proper consent; or any promotion breaching GDPR/PECR rules
- Promote Cherans on sites featuring illegal, hateful, adult, or otherwise brand-damaging content
- Use our creatives/content outside the Programme scope or remove copyright/trademark notices
7) Attribution and de-duplication
We operate a de-duplication policy to avoid paying commission on orders already attributable to other paid media or partner channels.
- De-duplication rule: Where multiple marketing channels are eligible for the same order, we will attribute commission according to our internal attribution/de-duplication logic, which may remove affiliate commission in some cases (e.g., where another channel is deemed the primary driver).
- Channels considered: [Insert: e.g., “Paid Search (brand/non-brand), Paid Social, Email, Direct partnerships, Marketplaces, etc.”]
- Default position: [Insert your chosen rule: e.g., “Affiliate is paid on last-click unless overridden by de-duplication against Paid Search/PLA.”]
8) Publisher approval, monitoring and removals
- Approval: We may approve or reject publishers at our discretion to protect our brand and customer experience.
- Ongoing compliance: We may request changes to placements or messaging. Failure to comply may lead to suspension/removal from the Programme and/or commission being declined for non-compliant activity.
- Breach: We reserve the right to end partnerships with publishers who breach Programme T&Cs.
9) Use of creatives, product data and brand assets
- Use only the creatives/data feeds provided via Awin or assets we send you for affiliate use.
- Do not alter logos or brand assets in a way that is misleading or damages brand integrity.
- If you create your own creative, it must be truthful, compliant, and not imply an official partnership beyond being an affiliate.
-
10) Compliance and disclosures
- You must comply with all applicable advertising and consumer protection laws and guidance.
- You must clearly disclose affiliate relationships where required (e.g., “This post contains affiliate links” or equivalent), in a way that is prominent and understandable.
-
11) Changes to these Programme T&Cs
If we update these Programme T&Cs, we will provide at least 7 days’ notice before changes take effect and will communicate updates to publishers via the Awin Communication Centre.
