Commission Rates
Plants: 10%
Planters/Pots: 10%
Commissionable Categories
Commission is paid only on:
Live plants
Planters/pots
Non-Commissionable Categories (0% commission)
No commission is paid on:
Soil, fertilizer, chemicals, and other gardening hard goods
Gift cards
Taxes, shipping, and handling
Order Validation, Refunds, and Reversals
Commissions are calculated on net merchandise revenue actually paid and retained (excluding non-commissionable items, taxes, shipping, and handling).
Canceled orders, chargebacks, and refunded items are not commissionable and will be reversed during validation.
Partial refunds: commission will be adjusted to reflect the net retained value.
Warranty Replacements / Reshipments
If an item is replaced at no additional charge and no refund is issued, the original commission remains payable.
Replacement shipments are not treated as new sales and do not generate additional commission.
We do not reverse commissions for warranty replacements unless the original transaction is refunded or charged back.
Partner Types (Publisher-First Program)
This is a publisher/content-focused program. We generally do not approve:
Coupon/voucher/deal-only sites
Loyalty/cashback/points sites
Browser extensions/toolbars/adware
Exceptions may be granted case-by-case for partners who provide meaningful editorial value.
Approved Promotional Methods
Allowed (with proper disclosures):
Editorial content (blogs, reviews, gift guides, “best of” lists)
Video (YouTube and similar platforms)
Social (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.)
Email/newsletters to your own opted-in list
Influencer collaborations with clear affiliate disclosures
Not allowed:
Misleading claims (e.g., “free plants,” “guaranteed delivery dates,” or inaccurate warranty promises)
Copying PlantAddicts content (text/images) without permission
Representing yourself as PlantAddicts or an official PlantAddicts site
PPC / Search Policy (Strict)
Affiliates may not:
Bid on PlantAddicts trademarks or close variants (including misspellings), such as “plantaddicts,” “plant addicts,” “plantaddicts.com,” etc.
Use PlantAddicts in paid search ad copy, display URL, or extensions without written approval
Direct-link to PlantAddicts from paid search ads (unless explicitly approved)
Affiliates may:
Run non-branded search ads (e.g., “buy hydrangeas online”) as long as PlantAddicts trademarks are not used in bids, ad copy, or display URLs.
Coupon / Discount Policy
Affiliates may only promote discount codes provided directly by PlantAddicts and explicitly approved for affiliate use. Posting scraped, unapproved, or expired codes is prohibited.
Prohibited Practices (Zero Tolerance)
Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden iframes, auto-redirects
Trademark domains (e.g., plantaddicts-*, plantaddicts)
Browser extensions, toolbars, or adware that injects/overwrites/intercepts traffic
Incentivized clicks or purchases without written approval
Misleading “coupon” pages or false promotions
FTC / Advertising Disclosures
Affiliates must comply with all applicable advertising laws and guidelines, including clear affiliate disclosures (e.g., “This post contains affiliate links,” and #ad/#affiliate where required).
