Specscart Affiliate Terms & Conditions

Please take a moment to carefully read our affiliate terms and conditions before joining the programme or starting to promote it. We've written them in straightforward, everyday language to make them easy to understand and follow. You're responsible for ensuring your team, agents, and contractors stick to these rules too. Thanks for partnering with us!

DEFINITIONS
Kindly note that in these terms:

  • "We", "us", or "our" means Specscart and our site at www.specscart.co.uk
  • "You" or "your" means you, the Affiliate
  • "Our website" is www.specscart.co.uk
  • "Your website" means any site you link from to ours
  • "programme" is the Specscart Affiliate programme

ENROLLMENT

After you apply, we'll review your website and let you know if you're accepted into our programme. This process usually takes around 48 hours. We reserve the right to reject any application, but if you think we've got it wrong, please feel free to reach out. And remember: listing all your websites in your profile will help us make the right decision.

WEBSITE RESTRICTIONS

As we build trust together, your website(s) must play fair. They may not:

  • Steal intellectual property (ours or anyone else's trademarks, copyrights, etc.)
  • Break laws or regulations
  • Push harmful content (threats, harassment, defamation, obscenity, anything dangerous for kids, nudity, porn, or sexually explicit material)
  • Carry malware (viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, or any code designed to damage systems, steal data, or mess with users)
  • Game the system (software/tech that hijacks traffic, redirects commissions, or scams other affiliates)

LINKING TO OUR WEBSITE

Once accepted, please head to our affiliate dashboard to fetch your links. By joining our programme, you agree to follow these rules.

  • Use only official code from the dashboard; no tweaks or manipulation.
  • List every domain using your links in your profile.
  • Don't copy our style. No mimicking our site's look, feel, or framing to confuse people.

No shady tactics:

  • No cookie stuffing, pop-ups, or fake/misleading links.
  • Keep the referring URL visible (no masking where clicks come from).
  • No redirects faking traffic sources. Clicks must come from where they're supposed to.

Consequences: If you’re found faking link sources, we’ll void your current and past commissions, or drop your rate to 0%. Please note that standard "outbound" redirects from the same domain where the affiliate link is placed remain permitted and unaffected.

PPC GUIDELINES

If you're enrolled in our programme and using PPC advertising, you must strictly follow these guidelines to remain compliant.

  • Trademark Bidding Prohibited: Do not bid on our trademarked terms (listed below), including any variations, misspellings, or combinations with other keywords (e.g., “Specscart”, “Specscart UK”, “Specscart glasses”, “Specscart sunglasses”) in search or content-based campaigns on Google, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, or any other network. Moreover, location-based variations are not permitted as well.
  • Ad Content Restrictions: Our trademarked terms can appear in your ad titles, ad copy, display names, or display URLs. However, the brand name should not be used in any misleading or inappropriate way. The usage must be compliant with our brand guidelines.
  • Direct Linking Banned: Avoid direct links to our site from PPC ads or using redirects that achieve the same effect. All PPC traffic must land on a genuine page of your own website.
  • Position Restrictions: You may not bid in a way that positions your ad above ours (Specscart) in search results positions 1-5 within any auction-style PPC programme.
  • Automated Campaigns: If automating PPC, it's your responsibility to exclude our trademarked terms (“Specscart”, “Specscart UK”, “Specscart glasses”, “Specscart sunglasses”, and location-based terms like “Specscart Walkden”, “Specscart Bury”, and “Specscart Urmston” ). Add them as negative keywords.

Violations will result in immediate forfeiture of commissions for at least the past 30 days, with your commission rate set to 0%, without prior warning.

Trademarked Terms: Specscart, specscart.co.uk

COUPON GUIDELINES

If you're enrolled in our programme and your website promotes coupon codes, you must strictly adhere to these guidelines.

  • Approved Codes Only: Advertise only coupon codes provided through our affiliate programme/network or publicly displayed on our website(s). Codes from non-affiliate sources, customer emails, paid search, or other campaigns are prohibited.
  • Full Disclosure Required: Display coupons in full, including the complete offer details, valid expiration date, and exact code. Do not obscure codes with technology that generates affiliate clicks upon reveal.
  • No Workarounds: Posting information on bypassing coupon restrictions (e.g., "first-time customers only") will result in immediate program removal.
  • No False Urgency: Avoid implying that offers require clicking from your site to redeem. For example, if free shipping applies site-wide, do not present it as exclusive to your link.

DOMAIN NAMES

Using our trademarked terms in your domain or subdomain names is strictly prohibited.

ADVERTISING & PUBLICITY

You must not create, publish, distribute, or print any materials referencing our programme without our prior written approval.

For email campaigns promoting our programme, you must comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003, as amended:

  • Emails must be sent on your own behalf and must not imply they are from us.
  • Submit emails to us for pre-approval, or provide a copy immediately after sending.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Promotion on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms is allowed, provided you follow these rules:

  • Your Own Pages: You may promote offers to your own audience using affiliate links. For example: "10% off at Specscart through Wednesday with code Specscart10."
  • Our Pages Prohibited: Do not post affiliate links on Specscart's official Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or other company pages to generate sales.
  • No Trademark Ads: Running ads featuring Specscart's trademarked name (e.g., on Facebook) is strictly prohibited.

OPERATIONS OUTSIDE UNITED KINGDOM

When operating internationally or serving customers from other countries, you must comply with all applicable local laws. For instance, adhere to the EU's Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive if targeting EU audiences.

REVERSAL & COMMUNICATION POLICY

Specscart maintains a low reversal rate through transparent affiliate communication, but we reserve the right to reverse orders for cancellations, duplicates, returns, disputes, or violations of these terms.

If we request clarification on suspicious orders or clicks, you must respond promptly and honestly. Communication violations include:

  • Being evasive, deliberately vague, or dishonest.
  • Failing to reply within a reasonable time despite multiple contact attempts using your profile details.
  • Inability to provide clear, verifiable proof of traffic sources.

Such violations grant us the right to reverse orders, set commissions to 0%, or suspend your account for affected periods/orders. Affiliates must implement checks to prevent automated issues and ensure ongoing compliance.

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT REQUIRED

Include a clear, concise disclosure on every page, blog post, or social media post featuring our affiliate links where it's not obvious it's a paid promotion, endorsement, or review. State that you're compensated (e.g., "This post contains affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission if you buy through them") and, if applicable, note any free products received from us or our affiliate team.

Placement Rules

  • Position disclosures as close as possible to the affiliate links or claims.
  • Make them "above the fold" (visible without scrolling).
  • Never use pop-ups for disclosures.

This ensures transparency under UK rules, preventing "hidden advertising" claims. Failure to comply risks ASA sanctions or CMA enforcement.
